I have a friend with an E Sky electric heli. The receiver is a model EM220B. So far as I can tell he connected everything up correctly but when trying to actually fly it, neither the main motor or the tail motor will spin. The rest of the flight controls such as pitch, collective, cyclic all work. The instructions say to power on the Tx first then the receiver/gyro module. Wait until the status LED goes solid green then you're good. problem is it never goes green. It blinks red for a few then stays solid red. Also the instructions for this thing are crap so I have no idea if the connections for the motors and servos are correct other than watching the movement of the rotor. Any ideas? :arggg:

One of two things. The throttle must be closed and throttle trim must be fully down for the speed control to arm. If it doesn't arm after doing this, try reversing the throttle channel.

Thanks for the help. It was the throttle trim. We had the throttle all the way down but trim set to mid-range.

I haven't flown mine in a long time but try everything, reversing the throttle channel, make sure the motor plug is inserted the right way, if I remember correctly the motor lead will go into the 4 in 1 either way. Make sure it's in the right hole.
If all else fails, the 4 in 1 does go on the fritz occasionally. I've already had to buy that $60 part once. When mine went out it would suddenly go full throttle all by itself. it might be while it was just sitting on the table or when I was carrying it out to the flight line. It scared the #$%#@!!! out of me a couple of times. Good luck.
