T-Rex 600 phasing pin removal methods?

Hey all,

Finally got the flybarless bug and picked up a Mikado flybarless conversion kit for my T-Rex 600. Wondering if anyone's got any preferred methods for removing the phasing pins from the original head. My first idea was to pull them out with a vise-grip, but they're in there pretty good. Now I'm stuck at a toss-up between cutting them off with a dremel or heating the head with a heat gun and trying the vise-grip method again.

Would heating damage the anodizing? I'm really leaning towards the dremel idea, but worry about my hand slipping so I thought I'd look at other options first.

Any ideas?

I heat the grip hub with a small propane torch, while trying to keep the heat away from the pins themselves (cold contracts, heat expands). Pull the pins directly out of the hub using flat jawed pliers. Use a towel to keep from burning yourself on the hub.
Try not to bend the pins, they're hardened (brittle), so they will break fairly easily.

I gave up and took a hefty pair of pliers 1mm down from the top and snapped them off neatly, they dont have to be flush because of the swash driver

I actually ended up locking a pair of vise-grips on them one at a time, heated the hub and puled them out with a twisting motion.

They came out relatively easily and aren't even bent.
