The V Blade main blades, tail blades and paddles work really well.
690 or 710 mm blades
105 mm Tail blades
85 or 90 mm paddles

I reccomend 95mm paddles. You can always turn your Rates down if they are too fast for you but you wont have to go bigger when you want more speed if you got a set of 85's or 90's. Most 3D guys are running them at 95mm long if there flying V-Paddles.

I'm going to go against everyone here and recommend the Radix blades. 710 main blades and 105 tail blades. These are fantastic blades - very responsive and auto great, plus very easy to see in the air. Not to mention the main blades are about $20-$25 less than v-blades.

There are lots of great blades out there. Either way 710 main, 105 tail and you should not go wrong. Pick the ones you like.

Different MFG blades do fly different, so if you like a certain persons style or how the blades work on a certain machine you may want to give those a chance.

I've made the switch to the Radix blades and tails as well and really like them. You just have to decide what fits your style of flying better.

Angel, the V-Blades are on sale.........$115 and that is shipped. As Eric and Gary said fly what suits your style...... I am glad there are many choices and I think that as long as you choose a high quality blade you will find the Blade that appeals to you.

I have 690 v-blades on my stratus with tempest head, and 710 on my other one with extreme head. I am also eager to try the radix blades. I was told they are great, and they auto better.

I run the 690SABs with the 3d white ma paddles. My extreme autos all day long with that combo. and runs a sweet 1800rpm without a governor

I'm runnig the 710 / 105 mm Mavrikk (Heliproz) blades with excellent results; give them a try, you'll be satisfied.

Ohh I forgot about those. They are a good cheap blade especially if you are learning and dont want to use woodies

I swop from SAB to V and really happy with the result. And seem many people swop from V to Radix. I like the quickness and the tracking of V better than SAB. What is a big difference between V and Radix?

Thanks,
x

In my personal experience, Radix are very efficient blades (hence quiet) and stall less than any other blade, including V's. Radix have a more consistent feel throughout the entire flight envelope. V's "bite" more, but can load the engine a little more too.

As everyone said, you need to pick blades that suit your flying style. I am currently flying V's and love them to death, but I have also flown Radix for quite some time and like them very much too! I think both are awesome blades with their own good pros and cons.

Keep in mind that SAB is producing a new Blade now to. I personally choose V's, they fit me perfect, but I hear good stuff about the Radix nad also the new SAB Blades to. So many good blades to choose from these days!! :glasses2:

I got a chance to try the new SAB's yesterday. I must say they are very nice, I basically could not tell any difference between them and Radix. Even though I have not compared their airfoils, their flying characteristics are nearly identical!
