Well I am getting a bunch of email on this:

Here is the deal. You need a new motor mount plate from Min Air. The plates are designed for a specific motor. The new plate will match the new 3mm mount screws and it is a bit thicker. You DO NOT use the OS spacer plate (small circular one that says OS on it). That plate was intended for the PS motor.

If you can not wait, I would find some shims with an ID of 3mm and OD of 3.5mm. The gap will be a bit wide with the OS PS bottom plate but it will work. You can also install an extra thin washer .010 I believe in between the fan and motor so you have 2 washers in there (stock OS and one thinner one) and that will take up the space. The fan to clutch gap should be about .025 to .030 or in that ballpark. Do not run the gap much less as you risk the 2 metal parts touching in flight and you could experience a lockout or RF problem.

Not a lot to show. You need the new bottom plate and the clutch gap should be about .025-.030. This is achieved with correct SZ bottom plate and the stock OS washer installed.

If you choose to use the OS C-spec plate, you need to space things out accordingly. No big deal, but you need to shim or space as needed.

So when in the fancy pump gonna be available?
If i buy a SZ-H before the new pump is out, will the pump be available as an upgrade?

Should be... Don't really know until it is in the package in the store. They are indicating the pump / reg should be out in about April. It is a wait and see.

The OMI setup works very well and is available now for those wanting to run that option.

Lou,

The pump / regulator probably won't be an 'economical option' as an upgrade. The M-C carb would need to me internally modified for use with the system. It won't be 'plug and play'

James at OMI can do these internal mods. They are similar to the Cline's internal mods - but not identical by any means.

Adding the cost of the 'system' to the cost of the carb mods....it starts to get cost prohibitive pretty quick - and thats assuming the upgrade was reasonably priced as a package.

Best bet, if you want the OS system , wait until it's available with the motor. If you want the SZ now, take advantage of the OMI system currently available with your SZ's current M-C.
