Stator Gator is sponsoring a Precision Fun Fly on the 21st-23rd of April.
This is an event for anyone interested in the aspects of precision flying.
I believe there are many pilots out there, who feel the need to explore this end of the R/C Helicopter hobby, but are not willing to, or just don’t want to, compete on a national level.
This will be the first year of what I hope becomes a popular event.
Stator Gator is sponsoring this event with the sole intention of promoting the interest in precision flying.
This fun fly is open to pilots of ALL skill levels. From the beginner to the seasoned competitor, just bring your bird and let’s have fun.
This event will take place on a 180 acre farm with one of the best views in Frederick County Virginia.
There will be no landing fee, but you must be an AMA member.
If you have ANY interest, into just what is involved in precision flying this is the event for you!
We are planning clinics for setup and tips on precision flying.
Come and join us in a no pressure environment.
Camping will be available (no hookups)
I will have complete directions in a few days.

Sorry it is so close to your benefit fun fly, but it was the break in the Contest schedule.
Thanks Will I'm sure we will have an interesting time.
By the way it will not be held at "Fidmans Field of Heli Death" :D :D

It doesn't cause any issues for me personally, but y'all be aware that this is Easter weekend if you have family or other religious obligations.

Man I can't get this date thing worked out at all :arggg:
I told you it was first attempt.
I don't know what to do
Tough one Dude. Don't make changes on my account. March is impossible as there are LOTS of events. April is a tough month because of holidays and Toledo, and May is worse.
Pick a date, it'll do fine.

I'll probably be there, but what exactly is precision flying??

Well welcome to the last date change!! Please note!
WCK3 you better show up!
This fun fly is going to be geared to precision helicopter control. Not 3-D.
We will have some laidback contests like :
Hovering from one circle to another.
Picking up a weighted hook with the skids.
Best roll
Best loop.
Just stuff that requires keeping the heli where YOU want it....not fixing where IT goes!
If all goes well we will have a few clinics on heli setup.
But mostly we are going to try to have fun and bring a few more people into the ART of flying with precision.
This is the first event of it's kind that was not a real competition (as far as i know)
I just want to promote Precision flying in a no pressure enviroment.
Thanks
