HI I am new to rc helis but not new to rc. I use to race cars and it got to be more competitive then fun for me so I am goin to somehitng else. I have ordered a Walkera Dragonfly for my first heli and hope I can learn enough with it to move on to something bigger. I have seen thses helis fly at my local rc track and seem to be a decent unit. Just wanna know what to expect with my new interest into flying.

Never seen one of the Walkera Dragonfly. But I will guess it is a clone of one of the other micro electric helis on the market. I really do not suggest the micro electric helis to learn on. By the time you get into the expense of Li-Po batteries and chargers , you could have bought a nice 30 size nitro setup. The larger 30 size would be more stable and easier to learn to fly.
If you have any other questions, ask them.

A local guy has a large BOX full of them for parts, crashed, etc. He finally got to fly something after he got a 20 y/o shuttle off EBay. When you crash it, chalk it up to inexperience and buy something more robust.

Well I just ordered a Century Hummingbird Elite 3D Pro. Hope this will be a better choice for me now. What type of radio and other support equipment should I use?

I've been reading good things about the Spectrum 2.4 ghz systems. I was tempted when I got my MX400 but I already had a 9c so I went with that.

The whole system is right around $200. The only drawback I could see was it has 3 point curves where we are used to 5 points and even more with some of the JR stuff.
