Clutch Lining for Venture 50

I am installing a new clutch lining in my venture 50 and I was wondering how much of a gap there should be where the ends of the lining meet?
I have removed all of the old lining and have prepared the bell, I placed the new lining in to test fit and there is a 10mm gap at the ends. I think my LHS sold me the wrong lining...Looking for opinions

You definately have the wrong liner.
The ends should touch, or be very,very close to touching when you install it, then you can trim to fit, or sand to size after installation.

Thanks for the quick reply, I thought they should be almost touching, the lining I have just doesnt look right in the bell. I will pay a visit to the LHS and get the right one,Thanks again

The part number for the correct part is JRP970470 for the Venture 50.
