reading through the directions it says to shock mount the regulator,I understand this.also says to shock mount the switch in the switched models as well.any suggestions on doing this,I assume you don't mount it in the factory raptor spot as it does not seem to fit
THANKS

I put the battery on the underside of the tray and mount the reg. with double-sided sticky tape on top of the tray. I would show you a pic but the Raptor is apart. :(
The switch will fit on the 60.

Use your Dremel and make the factory switch position work on teh Raptor. Your HD switch will fit fine, just needs a little work withte Dremel for a custom fit.

I rapped the reg.in foam and mounted it under the battery tray then the battery and rx also in foam and mounted on top of the tray.

The reg generates "some" heat so you don't want to wrap it in foam.
I think the instructions even say to have it so the air can get to it.
Mine is gyro taped to the frame with a velcro strap over it for insurance.

I used double sided heavy-duty exterior tape from 3M to mount all my Duralite stuff, followed by a stretchy velcro strap for an extra margin of security.
Hit the local Home Depot or Lowe's to find the velcro and tape.
BTW: The units really need airflow to prevent overheating.

The clear 3M tape is what I use on teh battery packs. I use 2 or 3 layers of it, or the Zeal tape, then Velcro strap just like Wayne is saying. It has worked great for years and many helis.

Henry, the double sided tape and the velcro is the trick. My Sisrer-in-law lives in Syracuse but they are looking at houses in VA this weekend so there may not be anymore trips up there...........never found anyone to fly with on those trips............... :(

Hey Clint and Wayne Thanks for the reply and the help.
I know what your talking about.Ive emailed several of them and have yet to get a reply from them.I was trying to talk to a guy the other day at a hobby shop in Syracuse and had to chase him around the store talking to his back.I guess they don't want to be bothered by a newbie. :arggg:
If any of you guys do get a chance to get up here give me a shout.
I fly by myself 100% of the time so it wont be crowded :D
I actually live about 20 minutes north of Syracuse
I used to work for an insulation company in Marietta called General Insulation you ever heard of it?I don't know if they are still in business now.
