I followed Shannons' excellent video to set-up the rotor head but I'm hitting a snag.
The swash is level using tool #0513, washout arms are level, bell mixers are level when the swash to bell mixer rods are set at 61mm per manual, flybar is set at 0 degrees, not 10 degrees.
The two short rods to the bladeholders are jammed together.
With everything as stated above, the blade holders sit at +5 degrees, all other settings are at 0 degrees.
Should I be worrying about getting the blade holders at 0 degrees mid-stick as suggested in the manual with the control rods? If so , that will mean shortening the two short rods and the 61mm rods.
I'm probably doing something wrong but I can't figure it out.
Advice would be appreciated.

I changed the flybar to 10 degrees hoping it would help but no such luck. When I hold full right aileron and full down elevator the swashplate wobbles a bunch when I turn the rotor. The same goes for the other three extremes.
Anyway, it seems like the two short control rods to the bladeholder are fairly well fixed in their ability to change the bladeholder and keep the bell mixers level. I'm about ready to give up on this mess at this point.
My radio is a JR10X, the swash mix is still on +60,+60,-60. very little ATV was needed to level the swashplate.
It's quite evident I still need advise.

What servos and what size servo wheels are you using?
I have not built an IonX , but have built and setup several Fury's and Tempests.
The servo wheels need to be where the ball on each wheel for the cyclic can be placed 19.5 mm out from the center.
An easy trick to get the flybar arms in the proper position. Take one arm and push it against the head block and tighten the set screw. Then push that arm against the bottom of the blade grip while the other arm is against the head block. Then tighten the set screw on the arm against the head block on the opposite side.
The three rods from the bellcranks to the swashplate need to be the same length. The lengths for the rods that MA specifies in the manual is the distance between the ends of the ball links. This would the length of rod that is exposed between the two ball links.

You will measure the distance between the two links.
You should not need ATV's or subtrims to level the swashplate at center stick ( zero pitch). You may have to use ATV's on the cyclic servos to level the swash plate at its extreme travel ends ( full positive and full negative pitch).
The swash mix is where you adjust the cyclic travels for CCPM.
For example the 60% for pitch would be how much the collective travels. If you want less or more collective range you change that number.
The 60% for aileron will control the travel for left and right cyclic
60% elevator will control for fore and aft cyclic travel.
You change each of those numbers to get the cyclic you need.

David;
On the ION you have to make the elevator pushrod shorter than the other two. I just don't know which of the two measurements given in the manual to reference to.
Yes, I'm using the large JR arms which are 20mm.
I have re-leveled the swashplate and I now believe that the control rods are hitting the bottom of the blade holders as I rotate the rotor head when in full aileron and elevator.
This will be addressed during adjustment of the cyclic travel, I hope. Possibly I just have too much throw in aileron and elevator at this time with swash mix still at 60 all.
Thanks for your help.
