Sure but it looks and flies like RealFlight.

I have RealFlight G3.5, RF4 and Phoenix. Is it just me, or does the Trex 500 not fly like the real thing in Phoenix? I prefer RealFlight's Trex 500 a lot better. Phoenix just seems a little slow in response to me, and I can't get it to respond like my 500 truly does. I do not have this problem in RF. Perhaps I am just doing something wrong.. or perhaps the new version of Phoenix will work a lot better.
RF Trex 500 works perfect without any tweaks. Perhaps it has something to do with all the love that went into it!

Thanks go to the beta test pilots: opjose, Perry at Aeromicro
Special Thanks to: Finless Bob, Kevin "Fireup", Jason Chow for their valuable feedback.

Everyone's heli is going to fly alittle different depending on setup, you have to tweak the model on the sim to perform like yours.

Dang. I'm still up in the air about which to buy, Phoenix vs. RF4. I was ready to get Phoenix last night. Now I'm thinking I should get RF.

I can't seem to get the Trex 500 to bounce up and down fast enough (pitch). No matter what I play with in the heli settings.
I have searched helifreak.com and have seen tons of posts about this issue, and seems to be a known problem. But no one has posted, or I could not find, a solution. Again, perhaps I have not looked hard enough... or it is just a known problem.
The problem this creates for me, is over rolling or over flipping my 500 in real life. I practice with my DX7, on Phoenix, and get a muscle memory for flips and rolls. When I get out in the field, wholly smokes, what a difference. I put about 75% throttle in IDLE up mode, and the heli went over my head, trying to do a flip. This does not happen in the simulator.
Phoenix Trex 500 also has slow piro rates. I could not get this to be as accurate as my real life Spartan DS760/9257. Again Phoenix just seems slow. And again.. this creates a muscle memory due to using my DX7, and I over rotate in real life.
And in summary.. I do not have this problem with the RealFlight Trex 500. It responds very closely to how my real life Trex 500 does.
Phoenix does have amazing graphics and physics. I just need to speed the Trex 500 up! If I can just get that fixed.. I would be set! I am open to any recommendations anyone has! Can anyone confirm that their Phoenix Trex 500 responds like their real Trex 500? And if so, did you have to do anything to make it respond this way? And what did you do?
I wish Phoenix would have a create and swap place for airfields and aircraft like RealFlight does. It sure is a lot easier to just import the perfectly tweaked heli, and just fly.

Increase the piro rate, there is a reason they let you edit the aircraft.

If at all possible, get both. In my opinion they are both good programs and have their pro's and con's. My primary is Phoenix, but I am glad to have RF4, and enjoy many of the features it has that Phoenix does not. If you go for RF - be careful of 4.5, it is a system hog.

RealFlight has a huge selection of user created models, but none of them have been very well tuned with default settings. I find that the T-Rex 500 on RF3.5 is way too jumpy, and makes the 450SE seem like a big ship.

Why is it that a Phoenix specific question, people still have to chime in about RF? All rbgrn asked was what model would you like to see in Phoenix. Did not ask for comparasions, who likes what better, what's more realistic, etc................

So sorry. I'll delete my post, you delete your quote of my post and we'll forget I was in here at all, seeings how I don't (at this point) actually own Phoenix.

Everythings cool. I was reading from another site. I was tired of everyone b!tching about the economy, how bad this country is getting, and everyone blaming Obama for everything, even though some of the crap started before he was even running. I was just in a bad mood and mad some comments that was best left alone.
