I'm not sure which forum to put this in, but I'll try here.

I'm debating on which receiver to get for a TRex 450 with X9303 transmitter - Spektrum 6100 or 7000.

The 6100 is nice and small (horizontal pin version is nice), but doesn't give me access to all of the Gyro functions on the X9303 (only available on channel 7 - I wish they'd fix this).

The 7000 is larger, but will give me access to the Gyro functions on the X9303. It also gives me the remote antenna, but I'm not even sure where I'd fit this.

I know I can still set up the aircraft without the Gyro functions, but are these functions worth enough to buy the 7-channel receiver?

Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Thanks.

6100E for me. Just put the Gyro on gear, and set the gain with the end points.

The only thing gyro sense gives you is different gains on each flight mode.

I'm using a 6100 on my b400 with no problems. I use the landing gear channel for the gyro.

If you plan on upgrading to another heli in the future, a 7000 will help futureproof your purchase.

Got 3 450s set up with 6100s under my X9303. The GYRO SENS menu doesn't give you much more than just using endpoints on the gear channel... Set it, forget it and fly.

I have my gyro on Aux 2 on my Vibe (Gear used for Gov). I have all three modes set to the same gain.
