I started with a 450, worked my way up to the 500, and have now purchased a 700. I am in the process of building, and have a couple of questions. Is the JR 770 gyro a good enough unit to use on a 700 size helicopter? Would a Futaba 401 work? Is it absolutly neccessary to buy a $400.00 Futaba 611 for this heli? I'm not doing crazy 3-D flight (not yet anyway) so I dont think that I need all of the holding power the 611 offers. What about a high quality li-po flight pack. I bought the align regulator that comes with 2s 1900 mah reciever pack. I this a quality pack, or should I invest in a premium brand pack that may offer better performanc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the JR 770 is fine for the T700 - the 401 would work but the tail would not be so locked in 3D work and might occasionally let go in fast rear flight or a strong tailwind. The Align 2 in 1 is fine but the 1900 pack limits you to max 3 flights before recharge - you would be better off looking at an FP or Outrage pack >3000 mAh. The ALign 1900 pack otherwise works well. Have you looked at the CYE SOlidG - similar to the 770- but a little more up to date.

Thank you very much for your resonse, I have decide to go with the JR770 (since I already have one exta), but, have upgraded to a JR 8900 G tail servo. I have completed the build, and am going out to the flying feild tonight for the first test run! I also did buy 2 Flight power 3000mah reciever packs, so I should be all set up and ready to fly. Once again, Thank you very much for your help.
