One piec damper problem solved?

Hi Fred, just like Jerry said fly them. The reported problem a few months back turned out to have nothing to do with the dampeners. They have been working well.

Hey guys. I just installed a set of one piece dampers in my Stratus. No matter what I do, there is about .5 mm of rubber pertruding .. i.e., they won't seat flush.

Is this normal? The c-clips seem to have seated properly.

Normal and that is what you want. If that was not there the shim could hit the head block and the metal to metal contact is bad.

I am feeling a bit better now after reading this to put a set of these in my new stratus i am building...

the earlier reports put me off these Big time...

What earlier reports. I have a set of the original one piece damperners in a rotor head. They have been there since September 2005.

I am running some that where in there most all of last year also. I replaced the orings every 3-4 gallons and now don't even worry about them any more. Just like David indicated, they just last a long long time. Less maintenance is a very good thing.

it was the guy who boom striked doing a Snake... once he put them in.. i have a mate who has had two boom strikes with the set in his stratus doing a simple moneuver...

There was a massive debate/discussion on this when they first come out
