Am I correct in assuming that when setting up a GV-1/12Z combination that the calibration on the second page of the governor menu is set as follows:

12z govenor menu 1000 rpm - Gv-1 r1 1000 rpm
1500 r2 1500
2000 r3 2000

After this is done, I can then go to page 1 of the governor menu, select rpm instead of % and then just type in the rpm I want the governor to hold in the shaded box for each of the three rates? Do I leave the r1, r2, r3 in the GV-1 set to the 1000, 1500, 2000 or do I match them to the rpm listed in the governor menu? The manual is sooo very helpful (NOT) on this subject!

as i understand this once the gv1 is set to 1000, 1500 ,2000 and the tx is calibrated to the same any agustment made on the tx will show up on the gv1 matching the tx settings so you can change the head speed in flight, or at least with the engine running

That is correct. It's actually very easy ONCE you figure it out!
