Does anyone know if the 14mz's playing of the 3 second sound files has an adjustable volume setting? Right now it seems to be on the low side even in a quiet room!

I have looked but can't seem to find anything.

Thanks,

MIchael

There is a volume control. It kind of lets you chose between quiet and very quiet.
The speaker is very wimpy and even at full volume is hard to hear.
Sony makes a set of small speakers that almost look like they were designed to mount to the handle of the 14. There is a headphone jack on the back of the 14.
I think the volume control is in the screen that comes up if you press the picture of the stereo on the main screen.

Yes, and you can even assign a slider or knob to control volume. Go into the Player menu (radio icon) and then Sel. SW. See the "speaker" icon, that's where you assign a function to control volume. If you find that certain sound bites play too low, use a program like Windows Sound Recorder to increase sound amplitude (volume) a bit. Don't go too crazy or it'll start distorting sound quality.
