Hover Problem

I beleive i have a problem with G3. I am not able to hover the heli is all over the place. Is there a way i can link with someone and find out if it is me or my sofware.

I was sure it was me also but i have logged numerous hours and still not able. Can it be the software install or is it just me.

Hours? :lolol :rolling It took me months and I am still not all that great.

What made me feel better was the neighbor kept hounding me to let him fly my helicopter every time he saw me flying it. Finally I invited him into the house and put him on the simulator and told him, "If you can hover in one spot for 30 seconds I will let you fly it. I am gonna go get a beer" (4 beers later) He said, "This is impossible!!! You messed up the controls or something"

You should have seen his face :shock: when I brought it up in to a hover and flipped it in to an inverted hover off the deck... nice and steady.

I used the Bell 222 to learn to hover when I started. Its a great heli for you to learn the mechanics of slow flight and turns.... easy to see too!

Still one of my favs on G3.

Time my friend time..... but you choose a great starting point! I have crashed over $500,000 worth of helis in my day...... on G3 thank God!!!!

If you work hard on G3 then flying a real one is pretty cake... i never used any trainging gear when i did my first flight.

Make sure your controller is calibrated via the software. And that the control sticks are setup correct.

after calibrating you can flick the left front switch down and it will be in low rates and will make your inputs much smaller. It will be easier to control for you.

G3 is a blast... have fun with it. Also watch some of the instructional vids on there... they help also with certain skills.
