Can a channel on the 9Z be mapped to another receiver channel?

Just bought a 14mz and was thinking of the possibility of converting to match the recommend 14mz setup for CCPM heli but doesn't look like it can be done?

From: AIL .. ELE ..THR ..RUD ..GYR ..PIT ..AV1 ..AV2

...TO: RUD ..GYR ..AIL ...ELE ..THR ...PIT ..AV1 ..AV2

(CH)....1.........2......3........4.......5......6 .......7........8

The 9Z Manual states that "The Function Control Menu may be used to define the relationship between the transmitter controls and the receiver output channels. Any function on the transmitter may control any receiver output channel. It is not necessary to change the servo connections in the receiver." What am I missing?

Thanks,

Michael

Michael----- Looks like to me that the control ( stick, switch, etc.) to function ( right, left cyclic, T/R, etc.) can be altered, but not the data stream order (ail, ele, thr, etc) from the transmitter.

Jim,

That's what I think also. I thought that the channel outputs could be altered from what I could recall but now looking at it I don't think so.

Oh well - I guess if I change them on the receiver I won't be able to use the 9Z as a backup. I might just keep them as it is for now. It only takes a few seconds to re-arrange them on the 14mz. Futaba says that CCPM mixing will not be optimum though.

Thanks for your input!

Michael

Would be interesting if someone could move the pitch signal between elevator and throttle and see if we could "feel" the difference. Angelos?
