okay, been flying the gaui200 and my blade400, and i notice that i have to use my collective alot more than with my blade400, like on a back flip, i have to give more negative it seems that with my blade 400. is this just cuz its not as powerful as the bigger heli's or is this not normal and i'm doing something wrong?

It's because the 200 has such small blades. That's why any extra weight hurts more on the 200 as opposed to bigger helis.

Basically the thinner blades make less lift by themselves, so to compensate for that, you need to add more pitch in order to make the same amount of lift as with a larger blade at less pitch. Make sense?

Yea that and the amount needed also varies from heli to heli, since some have a very linear pitch range in comparison to others. Like for example 2 helis I have in the 450 class, The G5 and the Rex 450 . The G5 has a very linear pitch range, so I have to move the sticks out futher than I would have to on the Rex 450 which has a non-linear pitch range .

Generally no two heli's from different manufacterers will behave the same so it's completely normal :)

k  i have to fly my gaui200 before my blade400, if flyin right after each other, cuz i forget to use more collective and it makes for a sloppy and scary back flip LOL

man the more i fly both heli's i can fly my gaui200 so much better. it flips, rolls and tic tocs way better than my blade400. just seems quicker and snappier. i thought bigger was suppose to be better!!:thinking

Hmm do you know what headspeed your blade 400 is using and what size blades ? I know my T-rex 450 didn't feel right until I got the headspeed up to 3000 + , Now it's around 3500 @_@

just using regular wood blades. have new batts, with throttle curve of 100,95,90,95,100, so headspeed should be good i would think. don't get me wrong the blade is less sensitve to stick movement than my gaui200, but it just does 3d a whole lot better
