Has anyone let their 14mz battery drain down enough to allow the low battery alarm to come on? When does it come on and what happens?

I thought the manual said it comes on at around 25% but I am now down to 20% and the only thing I see is the battery level indicator is now red instead of green.

Is there any way of viewing the actual battery voltage? I am curious to see what it is at these levels.

???

Note: just came on when the capacity dropped below 20%. Beeps continuously now but doesn't say what the problem is unless you notice the low battery indicator at the top right. Battery voltage= 7.35 V no load (removed from transmitter).

Yep, below 20% it starts beeping; if you've assigned volume control to a slider/knob, you can lower it.

I thought that at some predetermined voltage the TX shuts off to protect it's battery.
All I know is that if it starts beeping land quick and shut down.

If the TX gets cold the battery indicator can go from 100% to beeping during one 10 minute flight. The TX needs better temperature compensating circuitry on the battery monitor.

Don't think any kind of circuitry can help the battery condition when subjected to colder temperatures. That is just the nature of the type battery being used to lose some capacity when they are being used in colder temps. The colder the battery gets the less the capacity ability it is maintains.

I did some testing earlier in the cold season.
I put the TX battery in the freezer (my freezer is at 0°F) and then popped it into a room temp TX and had around 75% battery life.
I then put the TX in the freezer and then put a room temp battery into the TX and got around 30% battery life.
With both the battery and TX at 0° and I had about 10 minutes of on time till warning.

I now make an effort to keep my TX warm at the field.
