OK, this is killing me.

Radio: JR x9303 Heli Radio

I blew a fuse, then replaced it....

All of my patches and setting are still there, but when I change any setting and power off the radio then power it back on, all my settings are changed back.

All in all, My Radio is now hard coded since the fuse blew, even when I change the plane or heli choice it defaults back to my Trex 500.

HELPPPPPPP!

You may have to send it back to JR. They should repair or replace it under warranty. Other people complain about Horizon Hobby but they have always taken care of me.

Can you resolved it ?

Yes, I had to send my Radio back to Horizon. It was a bad capacitor.

DO NOT charge your pack inside the tx!! always outside the tx case!!

Why?

Why?
cause you will not have to send it to JR for replacing burnt components.
charging through tx internal circuit has a risky factor.
i know 3 people including me and some more from hf that had the same problem.

I'm all lipo with my helis.

What do you use to charge? This is a Nickel Metal Hydride right?

So your saying that using a overnight wall trickle charger plugged into your TX will fry the circuitry before it gets to your Nickel Metal Hydride battery? Or are you quick charging your Ni-Mh through your TX with a bigger charger?

me too!!
i use a flightmax 2500mah 3s that i charge as a regular lipo.

if you use the standard charger there should be no issues as this is a very slow charger.
most problems occured during charge with other aftermarket chargers supplying 0.5amps and beyond.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I was assuming but wanted clarification.

Can we help me ?

Is what someone would find the component which he speaks vour I change myself?

(message than MC GREGOR INDUSTRY)
Our engineer says it more than likely the capacitor that is the problem, although there maybe something wrong with one of circuit boards. Either way the radio will need to sent in for repair.

I think it's actually a diode not a capicator.

No, there is nothing you can do. You have to send it to Horizon. They will fix it for free if it's still under warranty.

thank you for your answer Scotty T

The problem is that I is not an invoice.
It was acquired from someone who is no longer available ...
Furthermore I live in france lol therefore shipping tax lost packet risk(Douanne) etc. ....

can you tell me or is this diode electronics I have friends who could change me if I know where she is.

are you sure this is not a capacitor that is in question? why the engineer of JR/Mc Gregor London said that then ?!!!!

you said in a previous post that it was :

not sure, I didn't fix it, horizon did. I corrected my self my saying diode, but I'm not sure.

It is a $400 radio and is worth paying Horizon to fix it.

Chances are that the problem is a transistor that has blown. I have repaired quite a few of these.

I keep seeing guys have issues with X9303's or even DX-7's (they use the same walwart) when they either put Li-Po's in 'em which voids the warranty and cooks the voltage regulator, or they plug in a center pin positive walwart like a Futaba, into the tx's. One other problem I've seen mentioned is plugging in the charger to the tx with the walwart plugged in already which I guess offers the chance of creating a spark if you fumble with it while plugging it in. That's pretty rare but I have seen posts about it.

So, my walwarts are in a power strip and I plug in everything before I turn on the power strip and the standard walwarts work just fine for overnight charging. If you want a bigger battery, IMHO a bigger NiMH is a better choice and the Eneloops are by far the best of the NiMH battery options available. I experienced the battery issue with my 12X using the supplied charger (which is entirely different than the others) and have now tried several big NiMH batteries, they all work great as long as you don't over charge 'em (above 1/10C) either input rate or time, but the extremely low self discharge of the Eneloops matches any Li-Po I've used for foamie or small heli power.

JMHO, YMMV....:happyd
