I have 4 batteries total. Problem is I started with 3. Got the fourth because #3 would never plug into charger. It just bends the plug on the battery. So it will not go in the hole. #1 & #2 work perfect. Not a clue what is up with #3. So I got a new battery to replace #3. Now #4 will not plug in...same problem. #1 & #2 still work fine. Any ideas of what to do for them? :arggg:

First, find comfort in knowing that others have had issues with getting the battery plugged into the charger. I too have had trouble, but found that by tilting the battery forward (towards me) as I press down usually gets it to snap in.

i give mine a wiggle when touching the charge plug. that lets the battery center in the receptical. then pop it in. my problem was with the pig tail on the heli. i bent the pis. straightened them up, and poof no more problem. i'm more careful now plugging them in.

I never had an issue with plugging in the batteries; I followed Jasmin's advice and after pushing the battery in till the mouth of the receptacle, pulled the battery top end towards me and slid the battery in gently.

I have two battery packs and neither one will seat down into the charging jack. I have tried tilting, wiggeling and pushing firmly - after about 5 seconds the battery must pop up a little and the charging LED goes out. I have gotten around it by putting a rubber band around the charger and battery and that allows tha battery to properly charge in 30 minutes or so. At first I thought it was the battery - but a bought a spare and it does the same thing, Both batteries connect to the helicopter fine - so it must be the charger.

contact hobby services about that. 10 to 1 they will send ya a new charger. they are rather good about customer service issues.

I don't think the problem is the pins. I think it is the detent on the connector shell.
I just bought an mCX and found that the supplied battery fit the charger perfectly. A spare I bought at the same time did not. It could be pushed in a little ways but would not go all the way in.... as soon as I let go, the contact was lost and the charge light went out.
I had the opportunity to look closely at both connectors with an inspection microscope and the contacts looked OK. I also noticed that the two connector shells were subtly different.
I took the bad battery back to the shop and they opened another package. It too did not fit. So they opened another package and it too did not fit. However, they pressed harder than I would have and with a loud SNAP it went all the way in. After that it fit OK.
My suspicion is that the dentent on the one that does not fit is a wee bit too big.

I just take a small flat file and just touch the edges and the detent of the battery, all of mine fit nicely(5)

I actually had problems removing the battery after leaving it in the charger overnight. Using plyers(very gently) I was able to pull out the battery. I still have to use plyers every now and then.

Be VERY careful squeezing a lithium battery. There are layers in there and I have to assume they can be shorted with enough pressure. On the other hand it is a $10 battery with not a huge amount of stored energy......

Compare the battery to a new one. It seems if left overnight, they swell a bit.
So I pull them when finished.

Cells should not swell EVER. If they do I would take a close look at the cell voltage on charge. It is likely that the charger is overcharging them and the voltage is above 4.2V.

My new spare battery fits the charger, but does not fit the heli. I'm returning the lipos to the shop.

What exactly does not fit? The connector or the cell in the frame?

how i read it i think he's talking about the pig tail from the heli doesn't fit the battery.

Yeah..the socket from the heli does not fit the plug from the lipo. Although the lipo that came with the heli still does.
