Posted 02-03-2009 at 09:51 AM by RobertC

Hello
I am installing a fuselage Jet Ranger from Heli Artist to my T-Rex . Does anybody knows if I have to unscrew everytime I have to change the batteries or is there another way to do it ?
Thanks

Sim Orientation Training #2

Posted 02-02-2009 at 03:00 PM by ted_wears_a_hat (The Trials & Tribulations of a Learner)

Simulator Used: Clearview
Duration: 20 mins
Aims: Practise side in (both sides) hovering and nose in hovering.
Actual Progress: Hovered a full pack on each side in orientation. Hovered 3 minutes of nose in with no need to recover by going back to tail in. My mind takes time to transfer to nose in though and first command is often wrong.

Sim Orientation Training #1

Posted 02-02-2009 at 12:22 PM by ted_wears_a_hat (The Trials & Tribulations of a Learner)

Simulator Used: Clearview
Duration: 20 mins
Aims: Practise side in (both sides) hovering and nose in hovering.
Actual Progress: Hovered a full pack on each side in orientation. Practised nose in and was holding it in a steady hover for a minute or two, when starting to get a little out of control I managed to always hold it enough to get the heli back tail in and fully controlled.

Snow Joke

Posted 02-02-2009 at 09:19 AM by ted_wears_a_hat (The Trials & Tribulations of a Learner)

Well it's been snowing heavily outside and so I haven't been flying; instead I did a little online shopping and picked up a few battery and charger bits from Hobby City as well as finally biting the bullet and ordering Phoenix from HeliGuy. I need to get some new blades so I might put in another Hobby City order for a variety of their Carbon Fibres to see which I like, I would like to have done it in the same order but I am wary of keeping orders down to a reasonable size and weight so I don't...
