Posted 03-16-2009 at 04:43 PM by ted_wears_a_hat (The Trials & Tribulations of a Learner)

I got a little more of the build done whilst waiting for DB queries to finish up this evening. Notes follow.

- Washout block and arms are pretty easy, I just had to double triple check that everything was the right was round. I carefully CA'd the metal to plastic balls.

Posted 03-15-2009 at 05:50 PM by ted_wears_a_hat (The Trials & Tribulations of a Learner)

- Guide pulley bearings are press fit. Make sure to use the smaller washers on the rod.

- Frame fitting is pretty easy, make sure to insert main shaft to get all bearing lined up and make sure movement of shaft is smooth. Need to jiggle the frames a bit to get it nice...

Protos Build - Bag A Notes

Just making some notes as I go through the build to compile later.

- Using the metal servo arms as they have a 16mm hole. I will try and get other arms in the longer term as I think these metal arms will put a lot of stress on the casing in a crash.

- Roughly centred all servos before installing arms.

- Use tab C for [HS-5245MG] servos. Bit of a struggle to get in but not too bad.

- Be careful of inner bearing race of main bearing blocks. They...
