As we arrived, we were greeted by our wonderful host and CD Cindy and Dennis. After several minutes of conversation, I asked Cindy if it was ok to maiden my new Goblin Gasser. She said no problem! I informed her that I would go to the far end of the runway just in case.

I fueled my Goblin and found a small leak in the fuel return line at the tank. It seeps, but not bad enough to be concerned...

Ok… Here we go!

13. I received the throttle servo from Heliproz. Installed and set it up, so that’s done. I found a Futaba GV-1 for sale and bought that. It should be in the mail…I hope.

14. I made the power wires for the LiPo and the receiver. I needed to extend the LiPo power to the rear. I had an extra package of battery wire just for this purpose. I soldered an EC3 on one end and a Dean’s on the other. I made 3 extension wires to go from Dean’s to JR. I placed...

I’ve been working with Mark trying to overcome some of his fears with orientations. He’s been doing better with counter clockwise circles, but has problems with clockwise. It wasn’t until this last weekend that Mark finally “plowed” through his right hand turns (clockwise). Mark wanted to try a loop, but before he could do that, he needed to enter the loop straight with a little speed…at...

This last weekends fun

I met Mark, Bob, and Bill at our practice field yesterday (Sunday). Temp was 58 to start and finished at 71 degrees by 4:00 PM. Winds were 0-15 with gusts up to 20 mph. Clear skies for the most part, there was a couple of big clouds that moved through fairly fast.

I showed up 10 minutes before the rest, so now is the time to test out my Whippy #2. I’ve been having clutch problems with it ever since I put this second one together. The motor and...
