I have a Minicopter Maxi Joker 3 on the way from Deutschland by way of Great Britain. For those not familiar with the Maxi Joker, it is one of two widely marketed 800 size electric model helicopters.

The other model is the very fine Bergen Tazer.

It was a tough call for me to choose between these two great machines. It came down to two things:

1) I have flown CCPM helis through my entire career. The Joker is CCPM the Tazer is not. I know there are great...

I'm trying to talk my self into going to the Hobby Hangar indoor fun fly tonight. It starts at 23:30 and goes until 02:00.

I'll have to go get my Blade CX back from my boss unless I talk him into going. I'm trying to get him hooked on helis. He has two very young children and keeps complaining he does not have time. I think he needs to get his priorities straight.

I don't watch heli videos anymore. To be honest, after seeing an Alan Szabo video, there isn't anything else worth watching.

I know a number of people spend time, money, effort and helicopters to make all those videos but, I'm bored after the first five seconds.

I thank you for your efforts but, it will need to be something out of the ordinary for me to watch it.

Rotory Modeler magazine was in the mail after work today. This is the March/April 2008 edition.

On the cover is a very nice photo the drive and chassis section of a turbine heli. They are doing a series of articles about building a Eurocopter EC135 scale bird.

Regardless of what you and I may think about RM mag, the photo is still pretty.

I am slightly concerned that useful, informational posts are going into the Blog when they should be posted in the appropriate forum.

Please remember, the search, display and threading capabilities of the Blog space are not as good as the forum space.

But, hey it's a free system, do what you like.
