The 001's seem to be Chrome... and don't contain the flanged bearings for the tailcase, is the flange not required?

The 007's are stainless ... anf have the flanged bearings...

It's tuned up now, flying great, and ready to bind and fly with your TX. You will need to borrow an RX to bind your TX to the JR sat. My local hobby shop let me bring it in and use one of their RX's to bind it to my TX.

The three pictures are current. The pdf is the original picture that shows the extra parts. This was taken while I was tuning out the tail wag out and since then, the landing gear has been changed to the gorilla gear and blades to Radix 325's. The robird vibration logs are clean. All screws going into metal have been loctited and checked serveral times. Bearing have been lubed. This is a powerful 450 that can be tuned down to fly very docile with lower thottle curves and tame Robird settings or tuned up to a 3d machine. I have it set for fast sport flight with loops, rolls, and flips. The robird is very easy to tune. I had a tail wag issue originally that frustrated me only to find out I was lowering TX gain to get rid of it when I actually needed to raise it. I ran a TX gain of 76 and it flew awesome. As I said, the only flights on this have been the maiden, setup, and tuning flights so I would consider this a new bnf heli with tons of extras. The canopy has two extra holes in it where I relocated the gromets to get more of a nose down stance and the batteries fit with ease. The canopy is not perfection but it is Tarot. It looks great when flying. The drive train has all the parts to be Align or better. The landing gear and blades are better than align. The frame, head, and tail are tarot parts that are prefered by many over the align. The only thing this doesn't have that some people want is the DFC head. A lot including myself think the only thing added by this head is a cool look and more of a chance of stripping servos.

I'm asking $500 shipped to the lower 48 states and paid via paypal.

An Align 3s 450 pro v2 supercombo unbuilt without these upgrades and extra crash parts will cost the same or more once you get an rx and a battery for it. This is the same price as a 3s plastic bind and fly Blade 450x but with all the upgrades & way more power and tuning capabilities. If you are intimidated by the build process or just want to fly and not build it, this is for you.

I'd let it go for $500 shipped to the lower 48 states, paid via paypal.

The crash last week only cost me main blades, tail boom, canopy, canopy stand-offs, and a stripped servo. Everything else appears to be fine. :shock:

I had a bunch of spare parts on hand already, but I ordered a full kit for a couple of reasons. First is that the kit has the canopy in it, as well as a few parts that weren't in stock or that I didn't already have on hand or wanted extras of.

Second and most importantly is I'll be going to Mid-America at the end of the month. If I have a crash down there, I don't want to be out of commission due to it. I'm going to repair the heli in the next day or two with the parts I have on hand. Then I'm going to build all the major sub-assemblies in the kit and bring them with me to the Fun Fly. In the event of a crash down there, I'll be able to get the bird back into the air quickly.

Even a re-kit crash I'll be able to handle with a whole kit of spare parts on hand. :)

Let the building begin, again. :face

I am using VBar gov and auto timing (or thought that I was!), so I guess I am looking for validation of the above. Really? Progcard indicates that it using auto, so if auto and ext gov don't work together then what timing is it really using? Sure is working well...

I'll show you a picture of my wiring to make sure I did it right. I read the manual over and rover again to make sure I did it right but I'm still confused.

I have flown a 550e with this setup which is much heavier. Don't worry, I read the other threads. My question is just a little different as I use a sort of different approach in learning to fly.
You see, I started with sims. I train in Phoenix and neXt with a DX6i. My question is, if I want to buy a real bird, where do I start? I can do all four orientations upright and inverted and some 3D tricks (Rainbow, half flip, etc). I can't however seem to get a simple circle going, which is weird :thinking
I'm looking to either buy a darn cheap heli and then a proper one, or a proper one to start with. I did some research and most people recommend a 450 size. There is some debate about FBL or not from what I've seen. Three 450 heli's that caught my eye in particular are the Blade 450 3D (very cheap at the moment!) and 450X and the T-Rex 450 Sport Plus.

What do you guys think? - main mast
- spindle
- 79T gear
- tail boom

- tail rudder
- 600mm main blades
- tail blades
- some bearings

and unfortunately my S9253 servo. It has not supported the crash (wired cut, try to solder it without success).

I visited some american websites like ronlund, heliproz,... and asia website like helicraft for which I have found all my need.
Any other websites?
In France, there are few local dealers for hirobo parts and it's not cheap.

By reading some threads in this forum, some guys have repaired their Sceadu from SDX parts. I have the "sceadu to SDX conversion" document but it's not really clear for me. I have understood Sceadu and SDX share some parts and other parts are specific to SDX.
In my case, I just have to install the SDX main frame, right? maybe the cabin fixations?

This has been designed for two markets: One as a smooth flying larger version of their well known and successful 700 and secondly as a camera ship.

This one is being built as a display model for Alex Hawtin, and is being fitted out with Aligns latest 5200 50c flight packs that are driving their latest top of the line 850MX Dominator 480Kv motor. To control this power house, is a Castle Creations Ice2 HV160 ESC.

Power to the high voltage servos is going to be supplied by a Gryphon Extreme regulator from RC-HeliGURU, that allows full LiPo power to the servos and a regulated supply back to the Gyro and the Receiver.

The Trex 800 Trekker uses a version of the DFC 700e rotor head, but this is controlled through the use of belcranks and double linkages, rather than the direct linkage of the 700e DFC.

The build and basic set up is very easy as most of the sub assemblies are pre-assembled, but don't get lulled into a false sense of security as none of the bolts are tight and all need removing and re securing with a touch of thread lock.

To keep this heli in control it has been fitted with Aligns 3Gx sporting the latest 3.1 version of the software. Setting the gyro up needs a PC, the 3Gx unit comes with a USB link and free software to enable the PC to talk to the Gyro to carry out the settings and upgrade the firmware as and when these are produced by Align. I have heard many complaints that Fly-barless controllers are difficult to set up, but by getting the mechanical settings right to start with and then following the instructions line by line, the process with the Align 3Gx is quite easy. Once set the 800 can be tuned to match your flying style, in a matter of minuets by using the PC software.

In all this should take the average builder a week of evenings, with probably the longest job being the final setup.

The 800 trekker is finished and has been maidened. Alex's first response was WOW comparing the Trekker to a slow fun fly machine to the manic craziness of the 700. The trekker can do everything the 700 can do, just slower and bigger. If your flight style is to fly large open 3D manoeuvres then the 800 is for you.

Now we have had a few flights on the T-Rex 800e DFC we can say it's AWESOME! Can't fault it or the new 3GX software at all and Alex said “I'd even go as far as to say (Opening can of worms now ;) ) the v3.1 software is as good as any Vbar/BeastX Alex has flown!”.

The new 850MX Dominator Motor is flawless! No bogging at all just total none stop performance and Extremely economical combined with the new Align 780 3G blades! We weren't totally sure what settings to go for with the new motor/model combo so we had to test the water slightly we ended up with the following settings for anyone interested - Normal : 1650rpm , Idle 1 : 1850rpm, Idle 2 : 2000rpm and these seem pretty close to ideal.

The first flights mainly used Idle 2 just to get used to the machine as it's a completely different ball game to the 700e but after 4 mins of medium 3D flight the Align 5200 50C packs were only down to around 30%. Considering the way Alex flies, getting the same flight times as we get from the 700e DFC with the 800MX motor, the new 850MX shows an economical use of the power to hand.

Most of the head settings were kept to standard, with the maximum head pitch of 12.5 degrees out of a maximum of 14. This was more than enough to give the Trekker exciting pitch pumping manoeuvres.

Cheers for the support Jonathan Woodcraft at RCHeliGuru and Keith Wallinger of Robbe Shluter without you guys this project wouldn't have been possible and thanks to Ian Contessa – Coolice for the top 3Gx set-up.

We will get a decent video done within the next couple of weeks, now Alex has his B cert is out the way and next weekend it's Zone! (He should have the 800 with him if people want to have a look).

It seems like the heli wants to lean backwards on right aileron and forwards on left aileron, the beastx seems to correct for this but theres a noticable drop or rise in the tail as it tries to correct it.

At lower headspeeds it's perfect and this is non existant. Would this be something I can fix in the beastx, or maybe a mechanical issue?

The heli does not drift but you can clearly see the head shaking in a complete 360 degree rotation while in a hover. I have not flown in idle up or high rates. The 3gx system is mounted with 3m tape on a separate flat tray in order to eliminate any vibrations that could be transferred to the unit.

It is still on V2.1 and we set everything up for the 3gx manually without using a laptop. The servo's were all set correctly and pitch is set at roughly -11 to +11 according to the Align Digital Pitch Gauge. DX8 with gyro at 40% with AUX2 and F mode. No tail wag. The main blade tracking also seems to be very good. I did not get a chance to fly in high rates or idle up. The original throttle curve was 0-25-50-75-100 but I have since changed it to 0-40-60-80-100. I have read that low head speeds can lead to a shake while in hover.

I have gone into the 3gx to check the settings on the computer. After some research I have seen similar oscillations/shakes related to the AIL/ELEV POTS. I see now that the AIL Sensitivity is set at 6 when at 12 oclock. Low setting of 4 and max of 8. Elevator Sensitivity is set to 9 at 12 oclock. Low setting of 6 and high setting of 12.

According to my research, these values should be somewhere between 100-120. What exactly is going on here? I'm guessing v2.1 does not have the fine resolution of values like v3.1 and that I need to simply adjust the POTS via the gain knobs on the unit when running v2.1? Meaning, I need to decrease gains for both AIL and ELEV until the shaking/oscillations go away. Is this correct?

The motor label has scuff marks from close contact with the battery.

The rest of the motor (non label part of the can) does not have any obvious blemishes.

This pictures shows that the pinion and motor mount look pretty new. I cleaned the Loctite off the screws.

This picture shows how the motor connectors have worn through the heat shrink insulation of the black and red wires. This is easily fixed with heat shrink, but I wanted to disclose this. I can add the heat shrink at the request of the buyer.

The ESC looks pretty good.

I soldered servo gauge wires to the ESC battery connectors to connect to the telemetry unit to get a voltage reading via telemetry. The ESC connectors are EC3's.

This picture has a tooth pick pointing to a section of the black motor wire that is chaffed. The metal wire is not exposed, but I recommend using heat shrink to cover this. I was using heat shrink, but I cut the heat shrink off for the purpose of taking a picture for full disclosure. I can add heat shrink at the request of the buyer.

This picture shows a section of the connector that eroded over the blue heat shrink. I can add heat shrink at the request of the buyer.

Spektrum TM1100 unit. All items pictured are included. I inserted medical grade clear tubing over the antenna base to protect the antenna and keep the antenna pointing straight. I use this clear tubing on all my DSMX satellites too.

The batteries are in excellent shape - they have been flown 10 times in my Trex 700 which I got rid off to feed my Goblin addiction. They have been broken in properly with 4x charge and storage cycles at 0.5C.
They have an average internal resistance of 0.8 mOhm. Both have EC5's installed.
I take extremely well care of my batteries!
The only reason I am sellling these is because I'm getting the KDE battery assembly upgrade for the Goblin and they will not fit in there with the tray. I will keep the tray that they were on because it drops right in the Goblin KDE battery assembly, but they still have the velcro on them.
These will fit perfect in the Align 700 DFC.

It wasn't until a simple hover flight and a half in that I noticed an extreme tilt on the tail fin caused by the fact that the tail boom had pushed out of the socket in the frame.

After paying attention it made sense - the new tail boom uses a solid rod so the wires don't jam into the frame socket as well, making for a tight fit that doesn't push the boom out. Without it, the boom easily backs off from a few vibrations to the point where the flat part can freely rotate. Any suggestions for fixing this problem? Tape failed and I'd really prefer to avoid any glues. I do know that one time I put a battery in that was not charged and I could get it to spin up, but when I tried another battery everything was fine. I have 45 flights on the heli. Lynx tail case, pitch slider and blades. The other day I flew two batteries with cool time (+ Lynx heat sink) I plugged in the third and went to take off but saw that the elevator servo had seized up. I tried it in another servo socket and it did not work and the other servo did. So, not the board so far. I went and bought another servo but when I installed it it did not work. Im wondering...with all the talk of model stretching of late, has anyone here ever done a stretch of the Beam AG6 to a 700 class? :confused:

If so, what did you change/use to accomplish it and would you recommend it or stay as a 600? The 600 im getting is airframe+mains+tails+ the recommended Nexus servo's.
Im considering getting a Pyro700L and HX3SX gyro as well as Kontronic ESC.

What are the members thoughts about the electronics selection above and the stretch idea???? :dontknow

I have a TREX 500 ESP that has the Align DFC Flybarless head and swash installed. It is setup for 8S and includes a Castle Ice 75 ESC, Scorpion 3026-1210 brushless motor, 3 align DS510 digital servos on cyclic and a futaba D9650 digital servo on the tail. It currently has a Detrum 3GS flybarless gyro (same as the Tarot ZYX-S) and would come with the bluetooth adapter so you can adjust it in the field using an android device (like a android phone). It also will come with the spektrum satellite adapter and usb linker for the gyro.

The heli itself is torque tube, Carbon frame and fins and lots of aluminum upgrades. It has stock align carbon tail blades and a new set of main blades but they are a cheap set and I don't know if I would use them.
The bad,

After setting up the gyro I took the heli outside and tried to lift it off the ground and hover a little. It didn't even make it off the ground. Once it got light in the skids a little it tipped to the right slowly (seriously it was like slow motion!) and hit the ground.

known damage; Needs new main blades, tail boom is dented but the TT still spins freely (new boom is included), 2 of the Align 510's have stripped gears. I have brand new in the bag gear sets to replace them I will include.

I also have a bunch of other spare parts I will throw in as well.

No TX, RX or Battery is included. Just what you see in the pictures.

I have a GY701 (governor only) connected and working well with Stator Gator. Magic !!!

Now i was wondering can I use a SBUS splitter (3-1) to connect to the HC3-SX AND the GY701 at the same time ???

The system is working well, but I like the Idea that I can adjust the governor via the 14SG, does it work like this ??? Or am I dreaming ?

Both helis and transmitter have less than 2 hours use on them. The miniCP was gently putdown on tall grass a couple of times. The main motor is not doing so well and I was going to make it a brushless one. Motor works, but the batteries do not last that long using it. As for the D02S, It has not been crashed. I've been having trouble with the tail setup on my HK 500 CMT TT as the torque tube would disengage during flight and all thrust was gone. Luckly, I have training gear on and have kept it close to the ground so nothing broken. But after taking it apart and finding nothing wrong with the gears and reassembling, it happened again. Turns out that issue was due to the torque tube slipping aft which was evident by how far the rudder servo was from the front TT case. Long story short I pinned it with two screws and flew it again and this time, the mount on the tail that holds the 90 degree arm that the push rod connects to broke off after about 6 minutes of flight. Metal part (albeit cheap clone metal part) and it just snapped at the weakest point. No crash or even hard landing, this happened in a tail in hover with little to no rudder input during the flight.

Which leads me to my question. When I set up the travel adjust on the tail, I put it into rate mode and set the endpoints to a hair shy of the physical limits on each side so they don't bind. However, when I switch it back into Heading Hold mode and move the rudder stick (static on the bench, not in the air), the servo travels to the limits and binds like it wants to go well beyond them in both directions. This is after I have removed any "creep" based on Finless Bob's videos.

Is this supposed to happen? I guess I figured adjusting the end points on a single servo channel like rudder would be the absolute end points. I figured wrong. Can you please help me figure out what I am doing wrong, if anything?

I am running a Futaba GY-401 gyro with Spektrum H5020G tail servo. I haven't done any adjustments to the gyro except flipping the switch for digital servo.
