Bob O I'm nearly done building a Velocity 50. I'll be trying this very pipe with the OS-55 I took out of the T-Rex I had. I installed a new ring so the first few flights will be break in, then I'll tune for power and start flogging it. The heli won't be in the air until next week though.

jerm_kozac just ordered a new 55 with this pipe... right before I saw this. anybody else have any experience with this pipe motor combo? this review scares me a little, but it is the only one I can find. anybody???

fastone93 OK, here is my latest findings with this pipe. I have about 2 gallons through the new motor, and feel that is broken in really well. I have been having tuning issues with it. I will have it tuned for 185 degrees and fly a few minutes and it is fine, then fly another few minutes and it will be at 205. I have chased this now the entire time with this pipe/motor combo. The mid needle is at 1.75 turns, and the high is between 1.5 and 1.75 turns (way too rich IMO). So, I switched the evo out for the outrage hyper rage 55 that I have on my other 600. What a differnece, I turned in my needles, and now with a consistent 190 degrees, the mid is at 1.5, and the high is at 1.25. This pipe is not designed to run the rpm that I prefer to run evidently (2050 rpm). I wrote the temp fluctuations off at first to a new motor, but that is not the case. I will be putting a hyper rage 55 on this engine now as well.

fastone93 Put another 6 flights on the pipe today and got my 55 tuned in really well. The pipe has got the punch, I replaced a B320 with this pipe (tired of worrying about it coming loose all the time) and have no regrets. I have the first generation Outrage Hyper 55 on my other 600, and to be honest, I prefer it over the B320 as well. I wasn't that impressed with the B320 at all. I will acquire another Evo to replace the Hyper 55 in time, but am pretty happy with my setups right now.

Today it was 57deg, head temp was 185-190, and the only way to even try and bog the motor was to put a full 12 collective and 8.5 cyclic to it with Radix blades and Super Stubz 3105 paddels. Pretty sick combination, she will move across the field pretty good doing long rainbows, and Tictoc like a madman even with my hamfisted collective management. I also made a breakthrough this weekend, and am now able to do consecutive piro flips. I am not able to hold them good and still just yet, but am happy to just be able to do them!

Almost forgot, the pipe comes in a pouch that will remind you of a bottle of Crown Royal

Sonic_BOOMER_SOONER I'm running a MP5SB for now, and my next pipe will be either Ourtrage 55, GP Exhaust 55, or FunTech. I have the GP Exhaust 90 for my 700 but haven't installed it yet. Everyone is telling me it is going to knock my socks off. We'll see...

fastone93 it has a nice sound to it, I'll try and get one up asap!

Bob O I'm glad someone is trying this pipe! Post a video if you can, fast. I'd love to hear how it sounds.

fastone93 Tried out the Evo pipe today, and I must say that it is a quality unit. It makes nice power, very well constructed, and I love the steel threaded inserts. I am going to give a little longer trial, and then put one on my other 600!

Sonic_BOOMER_SOONER I'm looking forward to your review! I've enjoyed the Outrage pipe on my 50 and just got a 55.

Outrage Evo 55 Pipe

Anybody tried this pipe yet?

I have the Outrage Hyper 55 pipe and love the steel inserts. If this new pipe produces comparable power to the funtech it would be the perfect pipe!
