Mini cp decision
 

So i am deciding if i am going to sell my bl mcpx and dx6i and get a mini cp with a devo 8s or 6s. I have read nothing, but positive about it. i am also looking at getting the devo 8s in case i do go to a nitro bird. Do you think this is a smart decision? what parts are interchangeable between the mcp and genius. and where can i find the best batteries and price for it? and lastly i already fly a bl mcpx is it worth paying the extra for WOWs brushless version. i have heard this is a completely different bird compared to the other mini flybarless helis

The devo 8S and Mini CP killer combo.

The lipos i use are the upgrade walkera mini cp lipos.

First try it without doing any mods you will be impressed of the little bird.

i am planning on purchasing this one if you don't suggest getting wows brushless setup because that site includes a flybarless receiver which would be perfect for my flybarless gaui 425 build.


where did you get the batteries from? i don't see any on WOWs site. and is there a parallel charger for walkeras?

how well do the servos hold up as well? i know the genius servos had problems

Its a Micro Servo dont play stock car With it.

But they hold well.

The guys at RC711 are great in service.

Sometimes they ship the next day.

It arrives in belgium within 3 days:clap

If you want I already ordered a Mini CP with a Devo 12S. I can do a review for you guys once it arrives in the next week or so (tracking shows it in Shanghai at the moment). I have a MCPX with Spektrum TX. I would gladly note the differences and which one is a better heli! Just give me a little time and I will give you guys the heads up.

Are you sure thats a flybarless receiver , it looks like a standard receiver ?

I bet you could sell that extra rx for some $ if you don't end up using it. I'm assuming it's FBL, can't imagine they would make a flybar devo rx.

if it isn't fbl i still need a receiver for my gaui 425. and i have a blade 400 on the way that i will either sell for a 400d02.

The RX802 is the flybarless system RX and the new one. The RX801 (that you got in your combo) is not flybarless. But it is still an 8ch rx so it can easily be used with a beastx module for flybarless flight.

interesting ... how do you program the RX802 ?

I'd be keen to try it on my 450 if I could find the manual and software etc

Can you explain what the difference is between the 801 and 802.

Never heard about a flybarless receiver the only difference between the 801 and 802 are switheballe frame rates and longer antenna leads.

The 802 on walkeras page is listed as a flybarless system. If you go to Walkera.com and look up the 802 it says in huge print on the top of the photo "Flybarless System" but they don't even have anything on the RX 801 anymore. They don't have a manual for either one on their website :face. They really are not very good at communication at walkera....

It seems their engineering and manufacturing capabilities outstrip their English documenting ability.

If one reads Chinese though, there is a lot more available that is also more detailed.

Generating English translations for many Asian companies is not an easy task, unfortunately.
