What's the deal with these things?

Like the title says. why wouldn't you just fly a .30 size with the .37 engine? and wouldn't a smaller engine be more ideal for such a little heli?

30 size helis are gutless pigs that weigh too much.

This thing is geared for speed, with enough power to maintain head speed during hard collective maneuvers.

Don't knock it, til you've tried it...

Puts a grin on my face whenever I fly it. I like nitro better than electric and the T500 size is perfect for the football field by my house when I don't have the time to dedicate to go out to the flying field with my 50s. The .37 seems to be just right. I run lower head speeds than most here (2600 governed) and still being out of the deadband has no issue keeping up. I believe 2600 is roughly around a 12T or 13T elec 100% flat throttle equivalent.

that's tempting. Half the cost to run compared to the raptor and no stinking lipos.

My 500nitro is now nicely tuned and is a real powerhouse. I enjoy all the comments I get when they realise it is a conversion.
