Default Total newb.... what do i want?

LOL

So i got a Eflite mSR that im in total love with.

not really thinkin much about graduating up to a bigger heli. just kinda like the micro for what it is...

then i see these parkzone micro p51's.... and i like those for what they are too...

but lookin around, do i want the P51, or the Sukhoi?

is there a difference other than shape?

Lot of guys in my club start with that Parkzone Trojan, and they have the same model in airforce colors.

The Mustang is supposed to be a little tamer so it might be a better choice than the Sukhoi. Whatever you do, the key to saving props is to chop the throttle before impact.

At full throttle the Sukhoi can be a twitchy little handful and if you pull the throttle back too far you'll end up with the ass dragging, in high-alpha state, and prone to tip stalls. In between it's very docile.

24" wingspan might be better. a profile foamy might be nice.

what could you point out to a newb as the main difference between the 2?

Yes there's a huge difference. The P-51 is a lot faster and has more power, ie: it can and will take up more space. The Suhkoi is snappier but with less power and speed. In stock form, it can barely pull a loop and doesn't have enough power for a hover or even a decent climb-out.

As soon as it gets steady cold out, I'm going to buy another indoor plane, probably the micro mustang.

My stock Sukhoi does vertical take offs and can hover near the start of the pack, but that power doesn't last very long.

I'd forgotten that the power system on the Mustang is stronger and, since it is tamer at the same time, I think it'd be the best of the pair as a first plank.

Well I bought the T-28 Trojan first which was a little too fast to practice landing smooth but it does take crashes well and is cheap and easy to repair. Then I found a used Super Cub which is almost too easy to fly but great for practicing slow landings at the local park. It also handles crashes well and is cheap and easy to repair.
Then came the Ms Composit Unique which ended up being my favorite plane to fly at the park because it will fly slow or fast has ailerons and will do alot of the aerobatics I like, but it dont handle crashes as well as the others in fact mine is quite the glue ball might have to buy another.
