Default Solid tail fin for speed flying

This should allow us to have the Tail Rotor at 0* pitch when we are doing speed passes.

If you would like I can try to draw up a tail fin similar to a gliders wing with lift in the right direction for you.

It is a little rough but all I used was a hand drill, band saw, belt sander, and of course a sharpie

That's an interested thought Mick, I will have to think about that.

I had to have a play with this.

The wing profile is a modified (thinned) RG15. over all length 240mm, centreline of boom to bottom of fin 180mm. width at boom 60mm.

Left hand side

right hand front isometric

looking up from the bottom

mounting holes (could be counterbored)

If you knew some one that can machine moulds they would be simple to make.

Do you expect tail rotor drag to be that significant?
