I know everyone is shifting towards electrics and FBL and all that fancy new stuff, but I know I'm not the only one interested in seeing a N9c. If this were to hit, I would do everything I could with my college kid budget to get my hands on one. While a 550 with the Synergy quality would definitely turn some heads, my vote still lies with the .90. Lookin at you Matt

A true 800 size would be cool. Something similar to the Shape 800. That'd be cool!

+1 for a new N9, I would buy one as soon as it became available.

If I were still flying nitro I would like a N9c, I know one of my buddies is waiting for the N9c though.

Matt is working on a new N9 and he did mention that it'd be his winter project. He stated he hoped to have something for this coming summer but no guarantees of course.

Not that big but a good size. The trex700 is based around 690's and is quite small for a 90. It seemed to be a trend for some time to bring out small sized 90's so that it appear they have more power.
The rave and the whiplash are physically pretty big and the newer whiplash more or less designed around the os105 and ys120 rather than a 90 sized engine. The N5C has a big precence in the air and is almost the size of the trex700

325mm blade heli with a well designed belt driven tail, low parts count, inexpensive crash parts and runs on 3s 2200 lipos. Matt

Matt,
Know you don't want to give any design secrets away for obvious reasons, but what do you think is a realistic ETA for the E5 ? Sold my N5 when I went all electric, now fly trex550 but miss the Synergy feel, look and quality. David |

Hello David,
I am shooting for IRCHA but it will likely be September as IRCHA is almost here and I have a lot more to accomplish. - Prototype testing is pretty much completed, I've flown the E5 on 6S 5000 packs with a Scorpion 4025-1100kv as well as on 12s 2700 with a Scorpion 4035-630. I've tested the head speed as low as 2200 and as high as 2900... 2900 was scary but I had to know the helicopter would handle it. For those of you that were not in attendance at Huntsville Saturday before the sun went down, I had Nick Maxwell beat on the E5 for a solid 4.5 minutes of sheer hell (for the helicopter at least.. Nick and I were smiling the whole time) - Still waiting on a painted canopy and new mounting parts to make sure there is no interference. - My least favorite part of the whole process is writing the manual... doing that now. Thanks for the interest! Matt |

My vote is for an N9c, keep it slim and sleek looking. Nitro allows for much longer flight times and no waiting to charge between flights. I waited for almost 3 years to poney up and buy an N9 and wish I wouldn't have waited. I got to fly 6 to 7 awesome flights before the ground attacked it, then found out no mo parts.
By the way Matt I love the direction you are going with the Synergy line, keep up the awesome work and I will forever be a loyal synergy guy.

I re entered nitro a month ago. I looked and looked for a couple of months and there was nothing very interesting. The TT G4 was sort of nice and on the 600 front the N5c was THE choice. If the YS60 wouldn't be so unreliable I would have gotten that, N5c/YS60. I was therefore leaning more into 700 size so I settled for an Avant Aurora. If there had been an N9c (or N7c?!?) my decision would have been so simple!
PS: No, I didn't even consider an Align.

I might get eaten alive here, but I say something around the size of the 130x. That's right, I said it. The reason why is the people up north need something to fly in a gym during the cold months. people in the south need the same thing during the Tornado and Hurricane season in the Southeast. I know it would need to be expensive to have it live up to the Synergy quality standards, but people will pay because if you go to the 130x forum you will see how much people are doing to their helicopters. The way to get people into the hobby is with the smaller, less intimidating helicopters first, then they will get confident and buy a larger size that requires a whole lot of electro-IQ. The hobby is growing and its because of the smaller birds. Plus, don't we all recommend that a beginner start with something smaller they won't kill themselves with or get frustrated and quit?! Again, hope there isn't any bashing but it would be pretty cool and I believe Synergy is the company that could do it right.
