Are you inviting me this year? Or are you sneaking a trip without us?

I might do this instead of the helifreak funfly. Either one will be my first funfly. From San Jose, it is 5 hours instead of 8.

@ soniczen,

I'm sure the organizer of this event (we are friends), will forgive me for only stating something that is true. But to be clear, this event and the HF SoCal event are quite different is scope. Don't think you can exchange one for the other, and get the same experience with either one.

The HF event is 4 days, and has grown to be quite large, and is sometimes referred to as "IRCHA West". Lots of stuff going on.

The Crosswind event is smaller, more lay-back, and has a more intimate feeling to it (a good thing).

Nothing wrong with exchanging the Crosswinds for the HF event...as long as you realize, the events will give you different "fun-fly' experiences.

The solution: Attend both (-:

I like the way you're thinking Dave.

Even though the HF event is much larger (IRCHA of the West? I kinda like the ring to that..) it's still very chill and for the pilots.

I think attending both would be a good way to experience the whole "fun-fly" thing. I'm going to try hard to get to this one myself...

Trying to get an idea of who may be attending. Again not a big event its no Helifreak be any means. But if you want to see pilots such as Team Mikados Kyle Dahl, and Jesse Kavros and just have a good melow time then please come. Also I hope to see Tim Jones, Darren Reed and a few other local boys here as well. ReadyHeli, Amain and Esprit model will be sending some goodies for a raffle also.

I planned on going, but have had a lot of bad luck lately. Hopefully I can get everything smoothed out and make it Saturday morning. Had a lot of fun last year.

Looks like Jesse Kavros will be coming down and hangin' with Kyle for a few days, so Team Mikado should be "in the house" on Saturday for sure.

Looks like I'll only be able to come up for the day on Saturday unless things at work change drastically next week.

Will there be any electrical power available at the field for charging?
