Does the horizontal stabilizer fin serve a purpose ? Having a coffee conversation at work and I would like some insight !

In contest models, yes. It plays a big role in model tracking. You won't see an F3C model without one. FBL machines do not need one as they rely on their gyros to track straight. They do not need the vertical one either.

I like it for the extra visability, mine is neon orange, these 450's get hard to see at a distance.

Some people say it effects backward flight. I didn't really notice any difference with it on or off.
I took it off.
