I'm wondering can you really feel the difference between a un-expensive and expensive brand?
I'm talking about airframe. Let's start from there should we? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?qffmpo Sent from my iFonzie using Tapatalk |

besides build quality and ease of maintanance a good airframe will make a diffrence in flight because of weight distribution, geometry, vibration (or lack off),gearing and so on...
There's ony so much you can compensate with good electronics. Offcoarse the same is also true the other way around.

Are you really say guy can tell, blindfolded, can tell the difference, let's say, between align and mikado?
I'm just deciding to sell my logo for a trex. Ps I'm a beginner --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?1ikzz2 Sent from my iFonzie using Tapatalk |

In my city of about 300,000 people the hobby store with the most inventory barely keeps parts in stock for my mCPX nevermind my 550. I end up mail ordering everything anyway it costs me a lot less in time, and anything I order at Ready Heli arrives in 2 days without any expediting.

Have you ever flown a Logo?

As an uber noob... if you're barely hovering... you might notice a little bit.
When you get to the progressions of the hobby, and stuff starts to click, absolutely yes you can tell. I started with a HKT500 (Trex 500 clone) and when I first started I thought it was just the "bees knees" - Then I started switching everything over to Align. My goodness what a difference. Then I got the Outrage 550.... even more quality over the 500. Now it's not a fair comparison as a 425mm blade heli is different than a 550mm blade heli, but still the quality of components, fit and finish, tolerances, everything was WWWWAAAAAYYYYY better than the Align components. Short answer. Yes, there are very big differences, and when your skills are to the point where your knees don't shake with every flight, and you are crashing less often... you WILL feel the difference.

Having only flown a logo once (Logo 500 stretch) I would not even THINK about selling a logo for a trex. No way, no how. The logo (even though most components are a type of plastic) is miles ahead of Trex in build quality, tolerances and just overall feel. You would be taking a step backwards.

A lot of it is what you make of it really. But for the most part, yes. There can be a tremendous amount of difference froma cheap one and a good one. The reason I can't say 100% for that the frame makes the biggest difference is that the majority of the time if you have a cheap frame, you have matching junk equipment to outfit it, so the performance will almost never impress even a newb.
Also, it really depends on where you are in the learning curve as to what you can really do with certain models. While better built models will almost certainly 'fly' better, it doesn't mean that you will necesarily agree with its characteristics. Take for example a Century Hawk 30 and a Raptor 30. I've flown both rather extensively and I overly prefer the Raptor personally. But the Hawk is claimed to be a lot more capable. I didn't agree with a lot of the parts and how it went together so I am pretty biased against the Hawk but for some people they'd never reconsider a Rappy if you handed them one for free. This goes to show a difference in opinion VS a difference in actual "quality". Now if you were to take either one of those models and compare it to say a Trex 600, well that's a whole different animal. Again, most people would invest both the time and the money to get the 600 just right but a 30 class most people are just happy to get them off the ground, so they might not even come close to an apples to apples comparison. Not really sure if that gets you any closer to an answer, but it's food for thought nonetheless.

the difference between flying the mini titan v1 and v2 is phenominal. espically the plastic parts v1. you will immediately make out reduced vibrations. also after installing digital servos on my v2 i had to attach the trainer frame to prevent ruining the blades. good servos are that much more responsive. dial up the expo.

Align has helped fix their very poor boom CG with their new head design which lowers the head, but they are in a constant patch mode trying to fix mistakes and poor design choices.

![]() ![]() ![]() NOOOOOOO!!! Don't do it!!! What Logo are you flying? If the model is out of production or you cannot afford to crash and rebuild I can understand wanting to go with an Align. The parts are more readily available and the cost can be a good deal less on certain "crash parts". Align makes some decent helicopters but a Logo stands head and shoulders above an Align. Of course this is just my opinion, there are other guys on here who may beleive the exact opposite to be true.

I have never owned or flown a Logo so I have no opinion comparing the two but my experience does pertain to the general question. I started flying on an HK500CMT (align clone). I always thought it flew nice and I got used to how it flew. However I moved up to a T-rex 600 Nitro Pro and it felt so locked in and precise I couldn't believe it. Going back to the clone it felt so sloppy and almost unflyable I had to upgrade it to align parts so it was comparable. So in my opinion, once you fly something of better quality you will notice it trying to go down in quality.

No you can't as long as both are built right..They fly different because the Logo is plastic and lighter..The Logos don't hold up to crashes like CF framed helis do and thats the main reason i'll never own one..Being a all season flyer, the Logo frames are glass in winter and ive seen many blow apart on impact which is another reason people in my area sale them right away.On top of that if you crack one frame side, you have to take the whole heli apart.
Ive flown a few but the plastic frames kill it for me. Another down fall is not one hobby shop in my area has Logo parts and its sad because you can find parts for helis not even made anymore. Its a awesome flying heli but has way too many neg's for me.. If you end up getting one, make sure you do the tail mod and other small issues that need taken care of.Just do a search in the Logo section...

This does not mean you have to be a good pilot to apreciate a Logo, I let others fly my logo amd they all apreciate how well it flys and all thought it required less headspeed to perform thier manuvers, which earns added flight time. I am speaking on the Logo 600. This tail mod you speak of isnt quite correct as there are 4 different Logos to choose from, this tail mod you speak of is a simple anti static kit for the Logo 400, The 500,600 come with anti static kits.
