Question 600 complete rotor head?

does anyone know if Align sells a complete rotor head as a package or do they just sell the parts separately?
I'd like to have a complete head on standby so that if something happens, I can just pop on the new one and not have to spend the time rebuilding the old one before I can fly again.

Also, how much better is the Kasama head than the stock align head? is it worth the price?

thanks,
Erik

I don't klnow of any complete kits - Align don't do them but occasionally dealers put them together - why not ask GrandRC or Readyheli for a quote ? I don't think it'll save you much time - if you smack your head up you'll often have bust undercarriage, boom or gears and even if the damage was confined to the head - setting it up probably take longer than repairing bust flybar or linkage.

As far as the Kasama head is concerned it is quite different from the ALign - good quality but very lively and connected - I like it but several of my flying buddies don't like the feel.

Yeah, better off just buying a whole new kit and having a second heli for backup

When you say lively, do you mean inputs are felt closer to a 450?

Lively = super quick response, no lag, less intrinsic stability : Both Bob and I liked the head but felt more comfortable with some expo dialled in.

i thought to do that to , but every time i have put my heli in it has trashed the frame as well ... so you really need another kit on standby .

mind you i have seen the GF600 kits for around 400 us on ebay ..

After my last splat, it was quicker to build an enitrely new 600GF than dissassemble the bent old one. Thanks to this attitude, I now have spares for 1 1/2 new 600 I never thought of having a spare kit as worth the money until my last crash...

The scraps will get used. In my case, donor parts for a stretched machine.
