Belt CP and Scorpion Motor

I am thinking about putting a Scorpion HK-2221-8 V2 into my belt. Has anyone else used this motor, and did you have to do any mods to make it fit?

No modifications are necessary.. you will however have to also buy a new ESC as the motor will fry the Esky ESC.... suggest you pick up one of their Scorpion Commander ESC's while your at it.

Very powerful motor, you can also get the 2213-14 which i have in my Exi 450.

the -8 has lower rpm but good on Wattage.. the -6 is a monster for power and rpm, might be a bit too much for belt's plastic frame...

Thanks for the info. I don't actually have and ESC yet, I am still building my belt. Next step is ESC, BEC and motor. What size ESC do I need for it, would a 35 work or does it need a larger one?

35 will work, 40 would be better.
