I am planning what will be needed for a raptor 50 Titan SE .pricing an such. was wondering how much torque/speed is needed for this MCCPM . was looking at the align DS610 and DS620. and DS650 for tail.stall torque on DS610 is 9.6kg @4.8v and 12.0@ 6.0v the speed is .10 sec @4.8v and .08sec @6.0v the DS620 is 8.0kg @ 4.8v and 10.0 kg @ 6.0v speed is .09 sec @ 4.8v and .07 sec @6.0v to me it looks like torque is more on the 610's and speed is more on the 620's will either of these work on cyclic and collective and if so which is better? should I use the same on throttle?

I dont really know the exact torque values. I run 610's on cyclic 6v and fly it far harder than most people do. They have been excellent and I definately do not regret purchasing them. They felt slow on 4.8V but I love them on 6V. There are also some guys I fly with that have them on Trex 700s with great sucess. I dont have any experience with the 620's.

I have wondered this myself, and if you look at the TT raptor site nowdays, they are doing a RTF Raptor 50 (http://www.tiger.com.tw/product/4853-F08.html)
I found it interesting that it comes with these servos as standard, which are WAY down on power to what looks to have become the norm now days (9-10kg + with the like of the Align 610 & 620's etc): Ace RC S1807MG - Metal Gear Servo Modulation: Analog Torque: 4.8V: 95.8 oz-in (6.90 kg-cm) Speed: 4.8V: 0.18 sec/60° Weight: 1.71 oz (48.5 g) Servo spec's are off this link: http://www.servodatabase.com/servo/ace-rc/s1807mg |

Hi,
I'd suggest the 3 collective to be the same servo, at least 100 oz/in. For the throttle, you won't need more than 50 oz/in. With 200 oz/in, for a 50 size heli, is more than enough. They'll even work fine for "sport" flying on a 90. Hope this helps. |

I have Hitec 5625MGs for cyclic and a Futaba 9452 for collective on my Raptor. They work fine, I can only imagine 610s would work even better.

they are rating these in kg and I don't know if what I showed in my post is close to this 100 oz/in

610's are 133 oz/in at 4.8 volts, 166 oz/in at 6 volts.

Sorry, been away for a few days. Yes I use the 610's on collective also. I only have about 5 gallons of fuel through this heli now (no crashes) but the servos havent missed a beat. Im not the greatest 3d pilot out there by any means but I do all 4 modes of flight, tic tocs, death spirals, ect and they have been fine.

I am just in the course of upgrading from S9255 to BLS252 on collective and 2 x BLS253 on the cyclic functions BLS252 - 10kg @4.8v, 12.6 @ 6v BLS253 - 8.4kg @ 4.8v, 10.6 @ 6v The 252 has higher torque but is marginally slower.

I am usinf ds610s on raptor 90. They simply rock the machine. Not a single slowdown because of torque.
They should be even better with rap50. If you are really worried about torque you can try the e-ccpm coversions for raptors. I am flying one with 9252 servos. 9252 were a little slow on my raptor 50, after the e-ccpm they are more than I need. e-ccpm distributes load on 3 servos so its forgiving on speed and torque but mccpm is hassle free compared to e-ccpm. Just food for thought.

Hi all I also fly a raptor 50 v-2/ se and I use the DS-620's on it to, and they have not given me any problems. The only thing is they eat up a lot of power. I am using only 4.8 volt and 4500 mah and sometimes it will cause my Mini-G gyro to reset if I am pulling to much on my servos, but will upgrade to a 7.4 volt system. But overall the DS-620 or real good, and for a good price look at the infinity hobbies website, I paid only $58.00 a piece for my 620's
