Default Can I buy the Align FBL head by itself?

I've got a mini-vbar on my 500 and want to add a standard-vbar to my 700 but I like the looks of the Align FBL head (since it will match the rest of my LE). Does anybody know if you can buy the head and new servo horns by themselves?

Check GrandRC. They sell the 700 head without electronics.

So far I've seen mostly just parts for the FBL head... But see above post! (http://www.grandrc.com/inc/sdetail/230132)

Be aware you'll need the larger balls on the swash for the swash-to-grip linkage, as they are a different size...

The horns are readily available, like these:

Ha! In this hobby, it always seems like my balls aren't big enough

$160 seems a bit steep, but I wonder if any of the existing head parts are transferable so I don't have to get the whole enchilada.

I guess I could buy the whole kit and sell the FBL unit. If anybody has both, or has done a conversion--feel free to weigh-in

160 is a good price. I got everything included except the servo wheels and the flybar holder. (balls, pushrods and links also included)

There must be a demand for them, as the price started out at 140, then went to 150 and now 160.

I think the grips are the same but pretty much everything else is different.

The grips are not the same.

The only parts the 2 heads have in common are the spindle, dampers and the head button along with the cap head screws that secure the head to the main shaft.

CNCjunkie: Did you get the head from Grandrc? did it come with spindle shaft and thrust bearings?

Yes UAL767 I did and it does. It's complete from Grand RC. Everything you need minus the servo wheels and the flybar holder.
