There is a guy close by that bought this for his first heli, but feels like it's too big. He's scared of it and wants a smaller model. Specifically, he wants to straight trade my Blade 400 for his JR Ergo 60. Would this be a good trade? How long have they been out of production? Are parts hard to find? I really want to move up to a bigger heli, and a "no-cash" trade is tempting, and pocketbook friendly.
thanks. Britt |

All depends on your flying style! The ergo 60 is a bit on the heavy side and needed stiffer head dampers to perform any sort of 3D flying! It does not have a constant driven tail for full control auto rotations either!
Having said that, the big ergo was a smooth running machine and was great for big lazy aerobatics! Parts might be hard to find. Ebay would be the place to check out! It did share some parts with the newer Venture 60. May be of some help.

I traded a guy the same way. My 450 for his Ergo w/ OS 61 in it right here on Heli Freak. It is huge and parts are at Horizon Hobby. Mine only needed a tail shaft/blades and a flybar. Everything else looks sound. I actually plan on running a much smaller flybar on mine from my Hawk Sport. It is about half as long. Should fly very scale like.
