Default New Stinson SR 10

I don't know where I am these days. I started off so gun ho with these helis, but I am still only hovering when I am not crashing and rebuilding. However, I am having much better success with planes. I have a Supercub LP and I just got Stinson SR 10. Man, that Stinson is nice. I flew the Stinson for the first time today it was great. I was nervous, but I had a lot of club support. At this rate I think that I am going end up being mostly a plane guy with one heli.

You say that now
If you progress into aerobatic airplanes I can't recommend the 3d hobby shop planes enough. I have their 42" aj slick to play with and it outperforms any other plane in that size class I've flown, harriers are rock solid and there are very little bad tendencies. Design and quality are outstanding. I love messing around with it to take a break.

Wow!! I don't even know why you would mention a plane like that. I just looked at on 3D's website. That plane is sick. I know that has got to be fun to fly

I have about a dozen flights on my Stinson.

It flies well, but not quite as good as the T-28 (which is sort of the standard for Parkzone Foamies).

I have been playing with the flaps, which has been fun.

My only issue with it, is that it runs out of aileron at very low speed. This is not a problem, as long as you know it is there.

The T-28 and the Wildcat still have useful aileron at much lower speeds than the Stinson.

The Stinson, at speed, rolls very well and loops nice and straight.

It has no bad habits and lands and takes off well.

"but the T28 is ugly.."

So am I!

The Stinson is very, very nice looking-in the air and on the ground.

There is, of course, the bubble top P-47D (with optional retracts and flaps) coming out in December.

Ask Santa for a DX7 for that Corsair, instead of that DX6i-you will be glad you did.

The Stinson comes stock with the usual 3S, 1800 mah battery.

The battery compartment is huge (I think you might be able to squeeze two of the stock batteries in there, stacked).

3S 2200-2500 mah batteries should fit with no problem.

If you can fly that Supercub, then you can fly the Stinson. It's way faster than the cub. I thought it was pretty easy to glide right on in.
