i hooked up my ar8000 with SAT thats dsmx and working perfect(dx8)
maybe the newer sats don't work with a dx6i but that shouldn't be cause it should just bind in dsm2

are you using a dsmx sat only because that wont work with the MB I believe.
If you are using a regular RX then it doesnt matter on wich protocol the RX-TX works. Just make sure you have selected the normal RX option in the MB |

I have a DX6i TX and a DSM-X RX and DSM-X Sat.
can't get the BEAST X to get past the sensor check(the right hand bank of LEDs just scroll) So from what I have read, the BEASTX doesn't work with DSMX yet? correct?

I don't think and older DX6i is DSMX compatible unless you send it in.

If you guys are using 'standard' receiver type, the Microbeast won't care if it is DSM, DSMX, Futaba, Hitec, etc. This "DSMX incompatibility" is only when using the satellite option.

you are right. but the problem here seems to be that he is using dsmx receiver with a non-dsmx TX

If there is a problem (correct binding?), it's not a Microbeast-related problem.
You don't have to enter in the Microbeast receiver menu, because you receiver is a "standard" one. If you have selected (in the Microbeast rx menu) another type of rx, please go back to the default "standard" and exit this menu (it is only for "special" connections, like only satellite, S-BUS or PPM single line).
