I haven't heard one way or the other....but I can say that John Garst that puts the push behind the Blacksheep Event(Big RC) hasn't posted in a while, and last time he posted, he indicated his "new" interest in auto racing(full size) So, HC or Wayne will have to step up to the plate to make it happen...I imagine. HC's schedule with his sponsorship and all could either hinder this event or promote it. It takes a lot of time and effort to pull off a successful event and the only reward at the end is seeing everyone had a good time! So, I do not know!

blacksheep is not my home field, even though I wish it was..
If I do an event, it will be in Augusta, GA and I will have to find a bigger place.
I'll help out, schedule permitting but I am 3 hours away..
Not sure if HC has the time either with the twins..

I will check with John and get back with you all on this. I will also talk to Wayne Ellison and HC if John decides not to do the event. This is my home field and I love the event as well. So, I will see what I can do to make it happen.

If this doesn't happen at Blacksheep will there be enough interest to move the venue to HenryCountyRCClub? Though it's Georgia, we can try to make an event in the SE happen. Let me know ASAP so things can get moving. Or maybe the guys at CCRC will want to make a happening!?
Eric, Mke, Sean, Matt!??? Pipe in now, we need a FF down our way!
Thx,
Keith

We are talking about Having the Blacksheep Event at the Larks Field in Lexington SC next year in 2008 as we will have Restrooms and RV parking. This year we have a previous event for September 22,23 of this year. Marlin

Black Sheep event has always been around the 18th-19th of September.
Don't take this the wrong way. You may have an event the same weekend as BlackSheep was normally held. But it will not be the Black Sheep event. Every event that has been around a few years has a certain atmosphere that can not be duplicated. Black Sheep has a different atmosphere and that is why there were regular attendees. It was people like John Garst, Wayne Ellison, and a few others that put on the event that made it what it was. Wayne cooked meals each day during the Black Sheep event and they were $5 each. The meals consisted of grilled chicken quarters, BBQ, potato salad, slaw, etc. etc.
No one left the field to go and get something to eat. Hate to see that John and Wayne didn't have the time to put on the Black Sheep event next month. It was always an event I had circled on the calendar as a must attend.

That leaves me out. Looks like about an extra 2 hours driving to get there from here. You guys have a good time. Too bad Blacksheep has gone away.

I agree with David, you have it on the same dates and even call it Blacksheep, but it will never be remembered like the Blacksheep that was held by John Garst and the master chef Wayne Ellison. I thought I was good but that man can cook, everyday and all day long. If you left hungry is was your own fault.

I guess I am just not the man you are Dan! 6 Hours each way is just more than I can justify for a day of flying.
