The trex 100 is a load of rubbish has put me off ever owning anything made by align. I am on my third one the first two had defective motors one didn't have enough grunt to get off the ground, they all came out of the very nice box defective and have wasted a lot of my time. The box reads trex in the house should read trex in the bin cause that is the best place for it, keep the box though as it is well built.

Hmm, this thread sounds familiar and so does my reply...lol!
Can't beat Align's 250se through 700e! But when it comes to $200 "toy" helis my money is on Walkera! Their V120D01 is a fixed pitch (fbl) mini bird with a brushless motor AND torque tube driven tail - all in a package the same size (give or take) as the trex 100 and trouble free! This lillte bird is super agile, fast and So Much Fun!! Check out xheli you-tube video review.

Instead of getting all hot and bothered why not just return it and buy something you think is better. All companies have products with defects that get past quality control from time to time but regardless of what you say, Align makes quality stuff and their reputation is sound. When I read stuff like this about any company my first reaction is NO company can stay in business for very long if what you wrote is, in fact, true. My second reaction is that if it's a well known company that has a reputation for quality then it's most likely a "user" problem. Two bad motors? Doesn't seem right. You probably didn't assemble it right and put too much friction on the main shaft. |

Yes I did persist with the little demon and yes two motors were defective and no about the friction on the main shaft Ii was well aware of that as per instructions. Align missed the boat with this !

Thanks for that it looks good shouldn't have the problem with the tail rotor like the Trex.
