Default Is Anyone Using The Scorpion HV 130 ESC?

I just sent in my CC HV 160 and was looking at some other alternatives to the $569 Kontronik 120. The Scorpion looks really nice and stout. But as we have all learned looks aren't everything.

Just curious if anyone is flying the Scorpion130 on their 700. Thanks

Look at the YGE 120, they just dropped the price to like $360. It's close to the Jive without BEC

I looked seriously at that YGE unit and I still think it looks like a great unit all though I don't have any personal experience of it, but of the ones I've read that have, they say its great.

But in the end, I really wanted the Auto-bail out thing of the HeliJive so I went with that unit instead. Although now having tried to get that working, doesn't look to have been worth it.

About the only other thing I thought would have been an issue with the Scorpion unit was that with its mounting tabs, it was to wide for me to mount it on the rear deck of a 700

From my ruff measurements it looked like if I cut those off it would fit, but I didn't like the thought of doing that to it.

It sure looks cool though don't it.

After watching them fly the "new" Scorpion 130 at IRCHA I am anxious to try one. They indicated 6 weeks or so based on testing results in mid August.
Just have to hang on.

I have a 130 commander HV and I must say it runs flawlessly.(prolly 25 flights) Super uber cool after 4:30 flight --not stick thimping , Im not there yet but loops rolls and inverted. Has a built in spark arrest, and the end caps are much much larger than the 160's. SOrry I dont fly gov mode so I cant comment htere -- it even comes with a IR controller card :0)

I looked at putting at the back, but i just couldn't get it in a position I was happy with. I've gone for a mounting position down on the RH frame. Need a couple of little spacing brackets, but will post once I've finished it. Will need one extra hole in the side frame, but will mean that it's mounted on all 4 tabs.

Cheers,

Simon

Several VBar guys were flying the New Scorpion ESC. And with Mikados close relationship with Scorpions I would bet they will be compatible.

I'll check the vbar forum. You may be right but, I'd like to hear a few positive first hand reviews before I commit.

Yes.. We saw them at IRCHA and saw several pilots flying the beta versions as they prepare for commercial release. (soon I hope)
