I can't believe that I have to send back the rev3 Ice 120HV that they just sent me last week from the first recall, and the 160HV I just bought. The 160 is rev2 so I don't know if the recall applies to that. I have emailed CC and will post their reply as soon as I get one.

I didn't even get mine back yet though it should be arriving soon. If i receive a rev 3 and have to send it back, I'm going to be seriously pissed.

They should send out the replacements then ask for the old ones back. It's just crazy waiting weeks to fly, because they made a mistake. I have two on the list

I got reply to my email to CC yesterday.
I apologize for the delayed response to your e-mail. Unfortunately all ICE HV controllers currently on the market are affected by the recall and should be sent in for repair. It includes all REV 2 and REV 3, SA 2011-02 and controllers with no marking. Again, any ICE HV 60, 80, 120 or 160 that are on the market are affected by the recall and must be sent in for repair, regardless or age, markings or number of successful flights. Failure to do so could put your airframe, yourself or others are risk of physical injury if the controller were to fail. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this will cause, but we do not want to see anyone hurt or any aircraft/heli's lost on an issue that can be resolved by sending it in for repair. I've been waiting for my 120 since june 29th. I've got a 160 on my 700 that's been working fine, but I'm kinda not wanting to fly it.

I got the stock HV80 with the 600E Pro. Sent it off today for the recall. Has it really been taking months to get these replaced?? I haven't even had a chance to run up the heli yet.
I have to believe Align is not happy with Castle right now. This HAS to be affecting Align's sales of the 600E at the end of summer - and with the big cover article in RC Heli - talk about rotten timing. |

I'm wondering if Castle is using Align's factory. Sounds like the same problems that the align esc's have had.
