Default Is there a cheaper alternative to AceOne?

Is there a cheaper alternative to AceOne that has similar features and works just as good?

Good to hear! Any idea of an approximate release date? This year? Next year?

Will that be an add-on to the CPII?

Howard, you do realize you may burn in hell for teasing starving addicts?

Well, joking aside, without even knowing what exactly it is or how much it costs, can I preorder it now? PM me Paypal account and amount and I'll make a payment today, please?

Hi Randy love to know where you got that info from ?. I know they claim it works on heli's and some guy's are trying it but from what I have seen so far it's a long way from working. Is there some info I have not come across ?.
Btw I am watching several of these systems because I want something new to play with and drive me mad lol in the new year. They are certainly not plug and play systems.

Rob, not Randy.

I got the info because I have one. Yeah, it was a lot less plug and play than I thought it was when I bought it, but we're really close now.

Right off the bat, the stability of my heli in Stabilize mode was stunning. Just rock solid. I hadn't flown in almost a year, and on my second pack with the system I able to herd the leaves around my 50x50 yard with my 600.

We've discovered one significant bug that cause a few crashes, should get that sorted out shortly. And we've determined some of the sensors need a little cuddling to get them working really well. Mostly the baro and sonar sensors. But some people have had really good results. I'm just catching up on some of the changes.

Here is somebody else's quad flying on the system:

It's not quite DJI quality yet, but we're getting closer as I said.

The system is not Plug and Play by any stretch. Don't know if it ever will be. But the project is a lot of fun if you like to tinker. And full GPS control, mission planning, flying waypoints for about $4-500, pretty hard to beat.

Sorry Rob, mixing you up with someone else. I am going to buy one of these systems so have been watching them for some time trying to work out which one to start with. From what I have seen so far on a standard heli Arducopter stabilizes well but position and altitude hold etc does not seem to work well as yet. Fingers crossed.
I think I will be buying either a FY91Q Dreamcatcher or the Arducopter Mega. Also trying to get hold of an Openpilot coptercontrol but there are hard to get hold of.

FYI, they just announced the ArdupilotMega V2 (or V3). It'll be better and cheaper than the current version. First production run is all sold out, however.

Howard, I'm inviting a few drinks. Any perceived pumping for information will be totally coincidental and not related in any way to the situation at hand
