I had a blast flying this afternoon and it hasn't even started yet. I think I might have the distinction of the first crash or hard auto of the meet. My first flight, my 550E motor shut off in the middle of an outside inverted loop. I barely got it upright for an ugly auto, but it landed in the soybeans and I only broke a single Flybarless link and front set of torque tube gears. It is already flying again, but I really wish I knew why the motor just stopped. I switched battery packs hoping that was it.

I'm leaving MD between 7 and 7:30. I hope to be there by 9 AM. I keep adding stuff to my pile of stuff to bring. I'm also topping off the marine cells.

Who was that Carl kid flying the carbon out of his Rave ENV? I looked on the CY site and he isn't listed.

Anyway, he's an amazing pilot and I can't wait to see him fly more in the future.

you talking about the guy who flew his helicopter damn near to I95 lol if so that guy is sick on the sticks man

No, I believe that was Nick "at Night" Maxwell. Carl was flying the Rave ENV with the blue lights on the tail boom and the red lights on the canopy. He also provided the "Taxi service" for Jared's little parachute man.

Jared is a great pilot, he was using my buddy's Jim 700 for the night flight.
Jim is a awesome Tech Rep for Align products, like the 3G or 3GX,

Had a great time yesterday. My first fun fly and I was not disappointed. Met some pretty cool people and saw some pretty cool stuff. I will be coming back next year, thanks for the event.

It was my first time also I learned alot thanks to all. I definately be there for the whole weekend next year. Maybe I will be able to fly better by then. Rick

It was great to get to meet and see some of the pros in person. I had a great time and will be back next year no doubt, hopefully for all of friday and sunday's weather will be better then it was today.

I got 12 flights total on my fusion, 8 during the day on saturday, 2 saturday night with some glow wire, first time ever flying with them (was actually really easy I was doing my normal flying within 30 seconds of getting use to it), and 2 today in between the rain.
