No problemo! As I stated before, converting to flybarless is not very difficult. First of all you remove all the flybar stuff and then extend the main blade grip arms to the center of the boom. I used Gazaur parts for it that came out of the spare box but I don't know which part it is (see picture) so it is a longer screw, the standard ball and then this Gazaur part. I put some CA in the inner cups where the dampening rubbers go in to make the head a bit stiffer. Then I installed longer control links directly from the blad grip arms to the swash.

Last thing I did is install a swash follower.

And of course a flybarless unit (in my case an AC-3X)
Ow and I also replaced the 65MG analog cyclic servo's with the s3156 digitals as this works better with a flybarless unit. I have the 5083MG narrow pulse servo on the tail

Thanks for the info and links, Flying Dutchy!

I'm just getting into the FBL thing. (I'm patiently waiting on a shiny new CGY750.) I'll probably be setting up my beater 450 for FBL first and not mess with my Mars yet since it's flying so well already.

l
That would be a tail shaft washer, GPM0108. Used in the tail slider I believe.

Thanks but that won't be necessary. The AC-3X is known for it's vibration issues. I used thicker tape so that should do it.....

And you are right, it's a GPM0108

Presidential Candidate Dr. Ron Paul is the most couragous man I have ever known. He has the courage to speak the truth to the American People. Always has, always will.

Default Fbl Mars

I am new to the hobby and started with a Trex 450. In the mix of trying to figure if I wanted to stay with the Trex I ran across a pkg deal on 2+ Gazaur Mars with a TON of extras. The guy had converted the head to a RJX Fbl head due to a crash. I'm still working on completing and dialing it in but heres the set-up, Scorpion motor, CC ice 50, skookum720, Futaba 9257tail and Savox cyclics. Airframe is GF (obviously) with the carbon extended boom, stock tail box and trex 500 landing gear. Radio is a Futaba 7c and 6106rx. I've spooled it a few times but I'm having a vibration issue and as soon as it started to lift it wants to spin. We dont have any heli support here so getting my birds programmed and dialed in has been my biggest set back. The second bird (FB) is still in the build stage but it's running a Lingo motor, Scorpion 55 esc, Align 410m's & 520 and probrably a KDS flymentor to start out then a Gy520. I plan to learn on this machine and keep my Fbl as a shelf queen till I get better.

hello Dhgravityfreak, welcome to the Gazaur forum. We love our Rotor-machines, i bet you will too. I don't know much about the flybarless machine, but I know the stock Gazaur fly's really well. I would lose the flymentor. may be more problems than its worth? The gazaur almost fly itself their soooooooo stable. Your canopy is strikingly beautiful, and so are those savox servos. For best result refer to Gazaur manual, feel free to ask question, and you be good to go!!
