Tail gyro won't connect with the computer

The flight control side is fine but when I plug into the tail gyro I get a message saying "Port could not be opened. Check for another program using this port and try again". Any ideas as to the problem?? I am trying to setup my heli and it has a really bad tail wag, can't adjust gain unless I can get this open. Thanks. Worked fine for initial setup a couple days ago, no change to the heli other then set up my Castle ESC.

And is there a way I can adjust it with my tx?

not sure why the port won;t respond.... but you could try reassigning the port/ com ect...

but to your tail wag. drop the travel in your tx's travel adjust menu for t your heli's HH gain mode. I have mine set to my gear switch... not sure what channel you set yours to. This is the way you control the tail gyro gain. so you may want to drop it low and kepp raising until the wag comes back.... then back it off. If your gain is below 50 on your travel adjust, move the tails servo ball in one space to increase the gyro's resolution mechanically.. rinse wash repeat if necessary.

Ok Thanks. I have it set to Gear. It's at 100% travel right now, I will lower it some. How do I reassign the port?

If your using travel menu, drop + down and raise till wag appears. For example, my + travel is 50 on my 6HV, my - value is 35 (i never use rate)...

Ok I see. So - values are rate no matter what the value is? Or is it below a certain number turns to rate?

...With Travel menu, + values are HH, - values are rate. The big difference I see is that you have more resolution, meaning 0-100, (100 points of adjustment) unlike gyro menu where 50-100 is HH (50 points of adjustment) and 0-49 is rate (again, 50 points of adjustment)

So....60% on a gyro menu would equate to around 45% of travel adjustment.
75% on a gyro menu, would be 50% ina travel adjust.

yeah, my rave 450's gear travel (for the tail gain) is at 77%.... so 100% would definitely cause my bird to swim like a fish.
